So it looks like restaurants at studios did not get their decor this year. Thanks Chapek.
Studios looks like their holiday install is complete. Epcot I’m still trying to figure out. I think the storm impacted them as the tree is still not up, and some restaurants got decor and others didn’t.Is it possible they just aren't putting it up until later?
The Magic Kingdom has to decorate early because of the Christmas parties, but the other parks don't really need to. I'd personally prefer they didn't put up Christmas stuff until around (or after) Thanksgiving.
IIRC Epcot’s tree appears after Food and Wine is over and Candlelight Procession begins. We’ve visited in mid Nov and in Dec and the tree is never there in Nov (while the other park trees are.)Studios looks like their holiday install is complete. Epcot I’m still trying to figure out. Of all places, Liberty Tree doesn’t get its decor? That’s a surprising choice.IIRC Epcot’s tree appears after Food and Wine is over and Candlelight Procession begins. We’ve visited in mid Nov and in Dec and the tree is never there in Nov (while the other park trees are.)
Here now and LTT has no restaurant decor, pre-pandemic it had a tree, wreaths and garland. Almost made a BOG ADR (glad I didn’t) merely for the ballroom holiday decor — betting it doesn’t have it back.
We’ve seen the resort gingerbread displays but none of the resorts have any trees/decor yet. Rode LWTL last night just to see the holiday lights which ARE ALL THERE but not turned on!! It was a dark and dull ride.
And where are the Rockette Minnies at DHS??!!
After your early intel I was really hoping holiday decorations would be back in full glory for 2022. Not blaming you at all, @castlecake2.0 . Just disappointed with TWDO. Again.
Yah I don’t get what’s going on. The Plaza, ice cream parlor, and crystal palace all for their decorations back this year, so it was off to a good start. I did notice Epcot got a lot of new decor replacements this year so at least there’s that. I’ll definitely be emailing GR again this year to remind them this is being noticed and it’s a big disappointment that they’re skimping on the restaurants.IIRC Epcot’s tree appears after Food and Wine is over and Candlelight Procession begins. So far LTT seems to be the only location where decor has not returned to 2019 levels. They previously had a single wreath and tree that have not returned. Diamond Horseshoe did get its full package back as well as the Liberty Square and Frontierland lampposts. Studios had lots of missing decor return this year as well. Disney Springs received updated outdoor decor elements.IIRC Epcot’s tree appears after Food and Wine is over and Candlelight Procession begins. especially the restaurants will be interesting to see what they do or dont do (looking at you whispering canyon which has been barren the last two years)...as for other locations such as the brown derby, they haven't had a package in years even prior to the pandemic, I think its been around five years since they were last decorated. They use to have a tree in the lobby , and wreaths and lit garland in the dining room. The upscale holiday dining is what people love, yet now they arent decorating what use to be some of the most festive areas and where people really spend. So far LTT seems to be the only location where decor has not returned to 2019 levels. This week we should start seeing resort get decorated so that should be interesting.
I wonder who decides that. Does holiday services just get a per park budget and have to figure out how to disperse it? Saying that, I’m impressed with all the updated decor that ive seen this year but then it’s confusing that they ignore restaurants where people are likely to spend money to enjoy the atmosphere.I think and hope we will see more this week into next,,,starting to wonder about resorts now

The restaurants will be full either way, I’m sure is the outlook on this. I would love to see more holiday decor expand everywhere throughout the parksit’s confusing that they ignore restaurants where people are likely to spend money to enjoy the atmosphere.
Now that you say that it does sound familiarI heard that resorts get decorated in order via some lottery and it's random each year.
No clue how factual that it is...
It is different every year but based on a variety of scheduling factors. All resorts should be decorated over the next week.I heard that resorts get decorated in order via some lottery and it's random each year.

LTT will likely not be decorated this year. Holiday services already made their pass through the Magic Kingdom. They never had much but it appears it won’t be returningAs long as everything is up within the next week, not too huge of a deal ... But places like LTT definitely should be decorated for Thanksgiving or that will be a miss I think
What details are you waiting for? What is taking so long to reveal the festival of the holidays lineup.
I was hoping the food both menus would come out soon. What details are you waiting for?
