Time is a factor in our lives which cannot be controlled by any force of nature nor man. Time is the fruit which ripens quickly amongst the numerous events in our lives, so quickly that we fail to realize when the time of harvest is amongst us. I wanted to ask what people's opinions were about how Walt Disney World would be in 20-25 years. Many dramatic changes have took place since 1993, so how do you think Walt Disney World will be in 2033? What new attractions, resorts, and other recreational activities will have been constructed or demolished in the future Vacation Kingdom of the World?

I think new attractions will include Avatarland, Star Wars land in DHS, some new Pixar themed ride. Hard to predict new attractions that far in the future.

I think SSE will be gone, but I'm not really sure what else.

I am not going to mention a lot of attractions since Disney we don't know who is going to the CEO of Disney in 2033. Bob Iger, Jay Rasulo and Thomas Staggs will be long gone from the The Disney Company. The fact is I don't see a 72 year old Thomas Staggs in 2033 being a CEO of Disney. The fact is I also don't know if Staggs ever will be the CEO of the company anyway.

The other thing thing to look at is how My Magic Plus is going to affect attractions for WDW since the plan currently is no attractions at WDW is going to be built after Avatarland before My Magic Plus starts making a profit. How things being projected is it is going take my magic plus years to make up all the money it has cost Disney and how WDW is going to affected by it. I have a feeling that it is going to take around 2020 to 2025 to make all the money back from mymagic plus.

I also will not mention changes with Disney Springs from 2013 to 2033 because fashions are known to change and the same thing is true with stores.

I don't think anyone will know what is going to be for shops at Disney Springs in 2033. There has been retails stores in the 1990's like Kaybee toys that you don't expect to be gone now and the same thing can happen to other shops.

Future world is to be different compare to World Showcase in 2033.

Imagination building gets demolished thanks it rotting after being closed in 2014 thanks to mymagic plus taking a while to make a profit with Imagination building being a lower priority than Star Wars for DHS. There will be new building talking its place with it being the weather Pavilion. Soarin' around the World will happen at some point. Universe of Energy is going is be closed sometime from 2013 to 2033. I really don't if an update will happen because of the problem of My Magic Plus is going to have for making a profit is going to affect anything rides or attractions getting built after Avatar opens.

The only change with World Showcase will be different restaurants.

DHS is going to have changes in DHS from 2013 to 2033. There is going to be Star Wars expansion Sounds Dangerous Building isn't going to empty in 2033. American Idol Experience building will be part of Star Wars Expansion. Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular is going to gone for a Star Wars attraction. I would like to say a Pixar Place Expansion, but I honestly don't know how long the CEO's of Disney is to stay with the company after Iger leaves in 2016.

I don't see any changes to Magic Kingdom except for the parade, more new meet and greats and a new fireworks show because of My Magic Plus is going to slow things getting built after Avatarland. Once things are starting to get built in parks after My Magic Plus is finally Making a profit, stuff is going to built in DHS and Epcot. I do see a Tomorrowland make over starting in 2033, but its not going to finished that year.

Animal Kingdom is going to be lucky if the Yeti fixed after Avatar gets completed. The fact is if My Magic Plus actually gets all of its money back by 2020 to 2025, that is not a lot for multiple parks getting attractions outside of DHS, and Epcot. I would like to say Australia is going to built, but I can't.

The days of DVCS being built is going to gone by 2032 and its not by Mymagic Plus, but by amount of land.

I think the Monorail is going to get a new fleet before 2032 or the Monorail will being running at all at WDW.

SSE, really? Why do you say that? Just curious.
I don't foresee that happening unless they have a fire or something that destroys it. OR if the trending that is happening now continues and they close the entire park. If they do that along with DHS they will have all kinds of space to add more DVC's.

Interesting topic.

I would LIKE to think we will see a refreshed WDW...'refreshed' meaning a return to running a Quality Show/Guest Experience.

I think within 20 years we will see a lot of changes at EPCOT.
Some good, some perhaps not so good from a fan's standpoint.
No doubt about it, stuff will happen there....maybe we will finally see those damn 'gravestones' moved by then?

Obviously the same is true for the Studios...but i am basing that on all the recent plans in the pipeline for that Park.
In Studios case anything added will be a plus, as far as attractions goes.

I see more expansion happening...but on a smaller scale.
I also see some big changes in how the Park is managed, but in the end wether those changes will be 'good', 'great', or 'not go good/great' only time will tell us eventually.

I see more DVC unfortunately taking up more prime land space...especially with what little developmental areas are left around the Lagoon.
The old River Country spot will surely be exploited...er...i mean 're purposed' for DVC by that point.
It would not surprise me if we see DVC finally encroach into one of the Parks...somehow.
All for a buck...all for the insane profits involved....to Hell with keeping sight lines and cutting down on urban sprawl in once beautiful areas.
As long as it is there and suckers buy into it, WDWs land space will continue to be fall prey to this 'cancer' known as the DVC.

When gambling is legalized in Florida by then Disney will probably have a casino/resort on property. It's all about the money and there will be tons to have. I'm not rooting for this but its just my thought its inevitable

Just came back...the problem is that in the future, digital cameras are such high resolution that if I uploaded just one image it would crash the site. However, future IaSW is truly amazing.

Just came back myself. I rode the same monorail 20 years from now, and sadly, it was not like a museum piece but the actual monorail. They got rid of the fixins bars so no more free salads, and no more free sauerkraut and cheese lunches. They also had free refills now at Magic Kingdom. I regret to say though but the BAH is still there. COP also had the 1994 ending.
