Now I'm going to say something that may upset a few people, it's not intended to be mean spirited at all. 74 and lee are not the end all be all when it comes to Disney rumors, do they know a lot yes, everything no. I wouldn't even claim that, I just think that too much stock is put into all this. Everyone have a good holiday.

We aren't?!?!?

Damn that's gonna be tough news to break to Lee ...

Oh, and mean 'spirited' ... yeah, I see what you did!:)

Shoot me an email about when you are available to chat this weekend ...

What is the reason no one wants Baxter anywhere near FLA projects?

They want him out of the company. He believes in doing things right. He believes in the tradition of excellence that WDI ONCE stood for. He is also demanding and can be moody and petulant and not the easiest guy to work for. I'd bet even Eddie Sotto would tell you the same if he weren't such an expert politician and still somewhat close to Tony.

Is anyone left at WDI that believes in doing things right like Tony, or is he the last person who isn't a 'Yes' man/woman up in Glendale.

There are numerous imagineers that aren't yes men the problem is they aren't high enough up in the company to do anything. And at Disney you don't get to those positions without getting your nose a little dirty

Well we all know you have to be a great at politicking your way up like any company - it just feels once they have done it several times they never seem to say 'No'.

Over the years, various WDI Creative Dev leaders have wanted Baxter out of the company. It's amazing to me that the man is still employed on Flower Street, given this continuous hate fest. Unless, of course, the infamous tell-all publication rumored to be vaulted in the bowels of Baxter Manor a la Gringotts is true. Then staying or going would be totally up to Tony and what he desired for his future.

Personally, if Disney isn't willing to let the man create the next generation of E-Ticket attractions for the parks, but would rather he continue to noodle on lesser projects like the DL Princess meet-n-greet or the DL castle walkthrough (which is excellent, btw), then I wish Tony would cut himself free and hire out his expertise and creativity to others, like the former Imagineers over at Uni. It pains me to see all of this talent hermetically sealed and stuck inside a second floor office at 1401, with no intention on the part of Disney to utilize it.

I'd bet even Eddie Sotto would tell you the same if he weren't such an expert politician and still somewhat close to Tony.

The portrait is obviously of President Snow for the upcoming Hunger Games attraction. :p
Yeah like that's going to happen.

After what Dick Cook did at Disney to one of the main producers of Hunger Games... no way Disney will be acquiring the rights to any part of this franchise in the foreseeable future.

I would gladly trade all his future theme park projects for the tell-all book. I want him to burn his bridges, throw everyone under the bus, and stab backs harder than Brutus did to Caesar. And I would argue to him that, in the long run, embarrassing corporate Disney and all their past misdeeds now would serve the company and his beloved Disneyland much better in the future.

You do know I was joking, right?
Of course I do. But I've read this before from folks who weren't joking, on other discussion boards. And these people had no idea of the ugly history between Nina Jacobson and Disney.

And truth be told, that portrait of Tony is a bit scary. I've been in his presence while angered, and that expression isn't too far off the mark.

I would gladly read a book where the Fitzgerald/Jacobson contingent is taken to task by Tony.
