:D That's awesome news!! I love that they are running early on some of this. I wonder if they'll be doing some "soft opening" type stuff with the 2nd spinner and play area? Funnily enough DH40 is looking forward to the Casey Jr. thing more than anything in Storybook Circus I think. LOL!

It wasn't operating as of around 930 am this morning when I was there but the walls are down. The walls were also down around the Casey Jr play area too. I have video of CMs, construction workers and imagineers playing in the water. Seems like they had just turned the water on a few minutes before I got over there.

I thought the tent was open?

Also did they remove the half wall around the speedway to reveal a proper railing?

they took the walls down and casey water area are open as is the pooh meet and greet with pooh and tigger. the second dumbo will open at earliest next week. castmembers are getting trained this weekend on the play area queue this weekend. you have to be in the stand by line to go through that play area queue (you get a buzzer like at a restaurant waiting for your reservation to go back in line, for small kids under 7). Fastpass will not go into that tented play stand by area. they have been letting kids play in the play area to test out how it works with people in there. already realizing will need more castmember overseer to weed out kids fighting and going down slides backwards etc. also need people for water area to keep them out of the areas they are not supposed to be in. The tent for merch will not open yet, is not completed. they did put a portable merch and portable drink/food back there. having tons of stroller parking issues.

also the first dumbo needs to go down for maintenance. the water wall is rubbing on the dumbos in one area

Thanks for all that info. Not surprised at the need for more CMs at the play areas, though it is somewhat surprising that the wall issue on the first Dumbo wasn't noticed during the testing phase.

That half wall around next to the speedway is still up. Not sure why it takes so long to install a railing.

And I also don't like the walled off section on the trail parallel to the railroad. Looks like there is a tent that CMs go in and out of. Maybe a temporary storybook break room of sorts

Looking at that picture I find it odder than ever that the bottom half of Dumbo's tent is painted differently from the top. You go from soft, golden yellows to harsh "crayola" reds and yellows. Having them the same would have softened the volume of medium primaries that make up the new version and looked more consitent. Or maybe it'll look better after sitting in the Florida sun for a bit?

I'm kind of shocked the main site doesn't have pics and news up about this yet. Saw some videos over the weekend of the Casey Jr. area and it looks great. I LOVE that each train car has a year for each park opening as it's number.
