Wallet and Purse

Does anyone else clear out their wallet when they travel?
I was paying for something today, and it occurred to me how many things currently in my wallet I'll be leaving at home when I travel in December.
Like, I won't bring my library card, gas station card, movie rewards card, etc.
Ladies, same question as to your purse or whatever.

No. I take my wallet with me wherever I go. I may not carry it to the parks! I might use a lanyard instead. But the wallet, with all it's contents, goes with me.

I do wish Disney would let you add water parks to your AP without the "water parks fun and more" thing. Each year I have to buy two different passes and the less stuff in my wallet, the better. I need three slits just for theme park APs. Two for Disney, one for Uni and Sea World/Aquatica/Busch Gardens.

I carry KTTW, drivers license and a few dollars cash....that's it!

My wallet, cell phone and anything else that is a tether to any sort of civilization or daily grind stays in the room safe. I find for me it helps with the Disney "bubble" and increases my relaxation level. Silly I know but anything I can do while at the world to get as far away from day to day drudgery as possible seems to be worth while.

This is interesting...I don't think I ever thought to clean out my wallet before a trip to WDW. This could have saved me back when my wallet and its contents spilled out on the moving belt at the end of HM. Nothing takes the magic out of Little Leota saying "Hurry back" like a grown woman scrambling for a bunch of cards next to the moving line of doombuggies.

I bring a much smaller purse on vacation. I love the cotton plaid Disney ones for this reason. I like to have one I can zip up in my carry on easily and be able to grab it when we are stopping to check in or shopping before we get settled. I can finally take my liquid items out of the quart bag and drop them into my purse as well.

I ditch my checkbook and excess cards like reward cards or gift cards-usually just take what I need out and leave it.

I don't bring my purse into the parks. My husband and I each have little travel backpacks that can get wet and can fit things a lot more conveniently. I only ever bring my room car, ID and my Disney Visa - you get 10% off merchandise, otherwise I wouldn't bring it. As far as the plane ride, I do clear it out before I fly because I always have the most random things in there and I don't want to get stopped! I go down to the courthouse all the time and my purse goes through a scanner belt there - they've found a wrench, a screwdriver, I had my wedding-kiss bell in there fore awhile (my kids like to play with it). Most recently, they saw the underwires of a bra I had stuffed in there from when I changed at the gym! Needless to say, I try to clean out my purse more often now - but sometimes I just don't think about what I have in there! Luckily they know me...

I would have loved to have been there for those explanations!

I'll also take our health insurance cards with us but leave them in the room.
