Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour - price went up :(

I have the 2013 Birnbaum's book and it says it's only $64/person - I called today and now it's $109/person - it nearly doubled in price. Guess we won't be doing the tour now

They do offer a AAA discount to purchase tickets. I booked this trip for Feb when I went...

I just don't understand them almost doubling the cost of the tour...why?? I'm sure is a very popular tour, but c'mon Disney. We WON'T be doing this tour now.

It most likely has something to do with being able to go up in Walt's apartment. Before, his apartment was off limits to the general public, and you had to be lucky to see it.

The price hike after the addition of Walt's apartment is ridiculous. It's a nice tour, but certainly not worth that kinda $$$.

We WERE going to go to Universal for 1 day - but it was $110/person (that included bus to/from).

edit: just looked up info: $64 is the price of the old Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, as opposed to the new Walt in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps tour. With the discount it comes out to $87.20

A name badge, lunch at Jolly Holiday, Walt's apartment, a bunch of Disneyland history, a visit to Neverland without waiting on the Never-ending line, Club 33's ground floor, Small World, a pin, and a (rather nice) surprise by mail.

It lasts about 3 hours.
