Walk Around The World Brick Question

It took me a month to finally get an ok from Disney to get a brick back 2006.
A friend got one for her husband birthday last year.

If you can get in touch with that department they will make one for you. It is a slow process and there is not many left to place.

It also has tripled in price. I got mine in 06 for 110. It is now 295.

They have not started selling them again, its not like that. If you are lucky enough to get in touch and you tell them your story why you would love one they will get you one done.

We bought ours in '96 and it was placed past the waiting area for the boat launch, and I mean way down almost to the end of the walkway.....its so peaceful down there and no one ever goes down there so our brick still looks wonderful. :)

what is the reason they stopped selling these? if i remember correctly, didnt they want to complete the walkway around bay lake with these bricks? i have always wanted one but when they were "for sale" i was too young to purchase one. It seems like disney could create the walkway basically free, and make a profit. so why did they stop that project...?

Any other confirmation on this price? My dad and I have wanted to try to get a brick in memory of my mom for a few years now (we have one for her parents, and I'd love to get one for her, even if she'll never see it). $300 might not be bad if my dad goes in on it with me, but I'd much prefer a lower price.

I too have been disappointed that Disney never completed this, because I'd love to be able to take a walk all the way around the lagoon. I was told once year ago (when they first stopped selling) that the costs of completing the path (over or under the two waterways) turned out to be higher than expected, and so they just stopped.

Of course, that information was from a College Program Bus Driver...so who knows? :lol:

I bought mine in 2007. It is just to the right of the granite bricks. I sent in a letter to the address with my story of why I wanted one and sent in payment information with it (very trusting I know.) A few weeks later I got a charge on my card for 295! So I can confirm the price and the process - at least as current as last year. The problem I have now is that the brick has my wife and daighters's name along with mine and a few months after it was placed we found out we were having another child. So the brick is one name short! :veryconfu

To each his own. It is worth every cent to me and we are talking supply and demand now as since they do not sell very many anymore - or have anywhere to put very many - they can charge more to those people that want them.

We live in England, and my parents first visited Disney World in '93. Since then we have visited Disney 17 times throughout the years, and also hold annual passes. Disney World is something special to us, more like a second home than a theme park. It just gives something off which nowhere else can match. We are in Orlando right now, doing MNSSHP tonight, we just can't keep away!

I would love to have a brick, but sadly my parents feel it's a waste of money, as much as they love Disney. I think having a brick at the Magic Kingdom would make part of you feel like you're there, and the other half back in the UK. I'm sure if you could have it put in a certain good place they wouldn't mind.

I would love to see them go all the way around the lagoon, and maybe even stretch to other places. They are interesting to know what other people have passed over that spot.

$300? I thought at one point they were only around $25-$50. Wow... that's Disney for you.. I read in a book (a trivia book) that they had stopped selling these bricks as they had "run out". I highly doubt that, as they could just go ahead and make / buy more.

About your cleaning, if we had one, I would want it to look as clean and shiny as the first day it was put there. I think going over to clean it is a great idea, go for it.

i took that to mean a bus driver driving the cps to and from work/apts.


how could it be to expensive for them to finish? they arn't even paying anything to do it, if people are buying bricks.
