We are not going to be able to back until 2008. We have a baby on the way and will be buying a house in the spring as well. We are waiting to decide what month to go and which resort to stay at. We are going to have 10-14 people with us and it'll depend who finally says YES before we can begin to plan a month and resort. 2 family members are teachers so can only go in the summer if they choose to come with us. The rest of us enjoy going in the fall so It'll either be August or October 2008 that we go. I pass the time by checking out these boards and getting other opinions on stuff.

I spend my time planning and drooling over the menus :slurp:. I'll be heading down next week for a week's stay at the WL and then I'm planning a trip with my girlfriend next October.

Gee, I feel guilty (almost). We have gone every December since 1997, and will leave this year on December 9 for an 8-day trip. Earlier this year, while my wife and two older kids (17 and 14) were in France on school trip, they went to Disneyland Paris, and I and my 10-year-old went to Disneyland/California Adventure. In May 2007 we're going on 3-day land/4-day cruise, and then we'll go back to WDW again in December 2007. Sorry.

I'm having to wait about that long, although much of that wait is now over, since I began planning and booking our trip last April, for our upcoming trip this coming April. So, in the beginning, it was a year long wait like you have ahead of you, but now it's down to 5 months...assumming no road blocks come up. We planned to go this past April, but the wife got pregnant and had a baby in May, so all of our funds and vacation time had to go towards that instead. I want a second child soon, but I don't want to pop him/her in the oven until or after April.

Gee, you make it sound like you had nothing to do with this situation!

I can sympathize with real life getting in the way of a trip. I have the money sitting in the bank, but we're trying to decide within the next few days if we're going to sell the house for something larger, and of course, more expensive. So the next trip may be in 6 months, or possibly 6 years.

I'm Waiting!!

Fortunately we don't have much of a wait now. :) Less than 10 full days - yahoo! I have a question though. Because I am new to this site, I am not sure this is where to ask. In the past, we have used a limo service to our resort. This time we are taking advantage of Disney's "free" shuttle. Having said that, we will be missing our usual trip to the grocery store to stock up on various items (bottled water, snacks, etc.). Besides mailing a package to the resort with these types of items, does anyone know if there is a service offered by a grocery store that would deliver? Another way would be to take a taxi from Downtown Disney but is there a guess on how much fare that would cost? We are doing the dining plan and probably won't need much but with a 4 and 9 year old it doesn't hurt to be prepared. Thanks for any info!

There's no Disney trips in the foreseeable future for me. I'm guessing 2010 might be a good year. Basically, all the stars need to be aligned just right before I can justify a WDW trip. I'm probably only going to get to take my daughter once or twice, so I'm trying to time it just right.

HI! My family and i are leaving in 7 days for our vacay, too! Hope you and yours have a safe trip. Anyhoo, the closest grocery store is Publix and it is approximately in Timbuktu, so I'm pretty sure no delivery service:dazzle:. However, most hotel mercantile's have a good general selection of things you may need, but remember to pack an extra arm and leg because that is inevitably what it will cost:mad:. Just a side note, Disney's Magical Express is a really nice touch and a nice way to start the magic off before you even leave the airport. Hope this helps and I hope you have fun on your vacation!

Like i said in an earlier post, my family and I will be going to WDW in 7 days, but unfortunately it will not be whole family-so in my mind this one doesn't officially count. We also went in March (when the pic in my avatar was taken) and I was preggers with my son. He was born in June so he's still just a little guy so we are not taking him on this trip:(. This trip is for his sister's 3rd birthday, but i still keep trying to convince my husband to take our little buddy. I even went as far as to put my mickey ears on his head and proceeded to dance him around in front of his daddy-but no such luck. So anyhoo, next october we will be taking my husband's entire immediate family and a couple of friends to stay at OKW (we're dvc member's). So because that will be son's first trip it is the one i will be pining for. Nevertheless, i still get to go "home" next week! :sohappy:
