Wait times do reflect attendance

For what it's worth, we're leaning towards capacity cuts as the primary reason for higher than expected wait times too.

It's not international travel, which is down 4% overall (and ~15% for Brazil in particular).

It's not increased attendance, because that wouldn't be enough to explain the 15-20% increase in wait times.

The economy and consumer confidence are definitely helping. I just don't think those are the primary drivers.

Following up on my own post here.

To check whether capacity cuts are contributing to higher-than-expected wait times, we sent people into the parks last week (the week of Mardi Gras) to count riders per hour at key attractions. We're going to keep doing this for about a month.

Based on that first week of data, capacity cuts are still our primary hypothesis.

Should I be nervous about my September 9-19 trip? I know waittime are insane during holiday but hoping not so bad this September. Any idea? Crowds show green as low crowds.

It was bad in September too. Those crowd calendars are useless now. All the rules are out the window.

Make fast pass resos and plan well in advance and it will help significantly.

There are no more slow (aka minimal wait times) periods anymore.
