Wait Time Boiling Point: What's Your Limit

I see a lot of people talking about ques, the time spent... the interactiveness of the que, etc etc etc

What are some attractions you just can't miss, regardless of wait time?

TSM: I have seen que's for 2 hours (Last May) and I couldn't imagine that time spent in line. Although, its a sensory playground there, visually stunning.

If it means I am not at work I will wait in any line you give me!!! But really we waited once for Soarn and when we got in line it said 45 minutes and it ended up being closer to 70... Will never do that again. I think our max wait we will get into is about 20 minutes unless there is NO fastpast then it will depend on the ride.

Depends on the ride for me... usually I'll either grab a fastpass or just go to a different ride if it says 60 or more. But TSMM I've gone in a 200 minute line.

20 minutes max.

It's not like I've never been on them before, and I know I can usually walk right on during the off season.

No way will I wait longer than that for any ride.

ToT, RnRC, and Splash Mountain are the only rides I would wait for no matter what. I need to ride those every time I go. The longest wait I ever did was 3 hours for Mission Space right after it opened up and I have not been on that ride since. I've waited 2 hours for Soarin' multiple times, but those days are over. So besides those three rides I mentioned at the beginning, the longest wait time I'd endure is 90 mintues, but that depends on if it's one of my more favorite attractions or not

30 minutes is my limit.. I'd rather sit on a bench and people watch for an hour than wait in a 50min line for a ride that only last's 5-10 minutes.

Get to the parks early and do the big attractions fast, or stay late= little or no wait.

Or go in September.

Jimmy Thick-January works too...

If you have a plan and utilize the fastpass machines to their full potential, there is no reason you should ever have to wait more then 30 minutes for any WDW ride.

My wife and I will only enter if an E-ticket is 40 min or less. Everything else will have to be 25 min or less. But we all know which ones are going to get long wait times so we get our fastpasses early.

We need time for things to happen.
I love WDW to a fault, but I would NEVER ever stand in ANY line for more than 20-30 minutes tops.

I understand people have to go when they can afford to go depending on
school being out our discounted times of the year etc., but I honestly
would not visit during a peak season when you were waiting in line past the 45 minute for almost every ride.

I think it really depends. Is this my only day in this park, etc? How long has it been between trips?

usually we're in each park 2-3 times so we can come back.

That having been said I have gotten into I think 90 minute lines for Soarin'. I love that ride. We often get FP and then get on line. It's worth it to get to ride it twice. The lines never really die down, so if you want to ride it multiple times, you either have to really go crazy getting all your FP for Soarin', or suck it up. That ride just gets me. Listening to the music brings tears to my eyes. I LOVE it.

We have gotten into 90 or 120 minute line for TSMM. OMG I HATE that line. it's VERT cool inside but the line just doesn't move. Thinking about the queue gives me a minor sense of dread. I really enjoy that ride, but it's short. I don't think I would wait on another 2 hour line for it. Maybe 40 min tops.

We usually go in the off season so we don't have to worry about lines too much between off season touring, EMH and FP. The only way to ride PPFlight is to get in a 45 min+ line even during EMH, so I will do that once per trip. We've gotten into 40 minute lines for Space and Splash that ended up being less. Once, for some stupid reason we got in a 45 minute line for SSE. Test Track we usually can get FP for, but we've gotten into 40 minute lines. Usually we try for 30 min and under though.

We've gotten a FP and then hopped on a 60 min line for RnRR.

I would wait in almost any length of line if it's my only chance to ride Haunted Mansion or Soarin'.

30 minutes is our max. It really does depend on the ride with how long we are willing to wait. I have waited 30 -45 for Thunder Mountain..well worth it. (To me :p) The longest we ever waited was like an hour and 10 mins our first time riding Soarin. Did it seem like forever? yes. But...it was well worth it and now we know that when we first get into Epcot to go grab Fast passes for Soarin and Test Track :)

Having just come back from our trip, it really depended on if we had done the ride before, if fast pass was available, and how much we really wanted to ride it.

For example, we used fast pass for Soarin' but managed to get it first thing in the park. But TSMM was out of passes by the time we got there, and since we've heard good things, we waited 60 minutes (though the sign said 45). We had a blast and would have riden it again, but the sign was up to 65 minutes when we left and looked longer than that. We decided that was too much to wait and moved on.

As much as we like Peter Pan, we decided not to get into the line if it wasn't listed at less than 25 minutes and appears to actually be that length.

I also think this relates to what else you can do while you are waiting. Even though TSMM was long, the que is neat and has the talking Mr. Potato Head. That occupied us for a while, so the wait felt shorter than the time we spent in line. Not so short that we wanted to ride again, but shorter than the 45 minute wait for Peter Pan.

Bring on more interactive ques!

I should count myself lucky that my favorite ride is Haunted Mansion, and we never waited more than 3 minutes to ride it. I should also thank my family for riding it more than any other ride... how much is too much really...

The slowest time I have ever been was the 1st week in March... I missed the SB rush and while it was certainly busy, mostly everything was 30 and under (with the exception of TSM).

I also went in May of this year... and that was rough, super busy.

I'd love to experience the world in say Mid September, that would be amazing.

Me personally it's 30 mins max unless its something I've newere that I haven't ridden on yet and know I won't be coming back anytime soon. Even then I'd max out at about 60 minutes.

Luckily (and simultaneously unluckily) we have a special needs child with serious enough medical issues that will get us a Guest Assistance Pass that allows us alternate entry (fastpass or H/C entry) to many rides he can go on and handle sensory wise. It's the only way we ever get to ride TSM because he'd have a complete meltdown within about 10 minutes of standing in line. He's too small and his sensory issues prevent us from using it on most of the E-Tickets, but I just get a Fastpass for myself if I HAVE to ride it on that trip.

Honestly having to cater to my son's needs has helped me slow down and enjoy the parks more than trying to cram in each and every ride I can. It's become more about his experience than mine, and the looks of joy on his face are worth more than me getting on any one ride. Plus it helps that we're within a day's drive, and can visit on a whim if budget allows. That's a luxury I didn't have in the past.

at the end of the day its about memories with your son, thats what matters! regardless of his condition, you're spending time with him and bringing to such an amazing place... he's lucky to have a dad like you

It depends on the attraction, but I'm a patient person and expect to wait in lines when I go to a park, so I can easily take up to about a 90 minute wait for a major attraction or something I really want to do. Now, if you tried to get me to wait 90 minutes for something like...Pan, forget about it.
