Wait list experiences?

Have any of you guys been on waiting lists? We have been on the waiting list for BWV since June and have not heard anything. We have Saturday through Thurday booked at BWV and the last two nights at Key West. Those last two nights are right up against the marathon so I'm worried...

Anyone make me feel better with stories of getting off of the wait list? I'm still 99 days out so I hope there is time...

We were waitlisted twice and both times we got what we wanted. Once was for three additional days at WLV and the other was at BWV. If I remember correctly we heard from them about a month out in both cases.

We wait listed last year for a week in april (2008) at BCV and found out about two months out that we got it. I bet you'll be fine.

We're on wait lists too, but for a mid-December trip. Quite frankly, I don't think anything's gonna change.

We are cuurently on the wait list for BCV. We are there 10 nights and just wanted to ad 1 more night, and they had no availability. So I have a room at OKW and on waiting list for the 1 night. The lady at member services told me that they automatically do the switch and will cancel my OKW resie if the night becomes available. We do hope so I would hate to move for just one night, but its my fault of not thinking the calendar through all the way. What I have heard is your chances get better as the 45 day mark nears as thats when the final payments are due on people resies.

We were on a waitlist for early December last year and it came through. We needed a 1-bedroom at OKW (our home resort) for 2 nights and we got it; took about a month. Fingers crossed for you! :animwink:

I have actually never not gotten what I was hoping for using the wait list.

(sorry about the double negative, I think you get what I mean)

We are currently waitlsted for BCV as well (1 BR AND 2BR). We are booked at SSR for everyone. It's for the week prior to and including the marathon. We've watilisted before and have yet to be disappointed. Last year I did it for a Studio at BCV (book at OKW) and received notification in the mail about 5 weeks before the trip. I had booked about 5 or 6 months prior to the trip. I think you are on the waitlist till 30 days before your ressie starts (correct me please if I am mistaken).

I am guessing with the economy in shambles that people who haven't yet paid fully for their trip will begin to drop out. There's still plenty of time before you should start to be concerned. Sure it's a pain to move (and we may end up doing the same) but Disney will gladly move everything for you while you're out enjoying park time.

Thanks for sharing your experiences guys! We are over three months out still so you guys are making me feel much better about it. Staying the last two nights at OKW is no biggie, we'll make due either way!
