my idea to change the show
I wouldn't change the opening of the show, however, if possible make the projections on the screen more crisp. I like the opening Ah-Ah-Ah Chorus and the Lazer and Mist, all very cool effects. Add more effects to the "Under the Sea" number, just make it bigger...more puppets, more bubbles, make it big. Keep the lazer Triton Sabastian Sequence. And then keep the Ariel entrance "Part of Your World" number, but I would then have Sabastian interrupt her, Ariel gets mad like she does, goes off and goes to the surface. This is where the screen is utilized again, showing Ariel swim up and see, Prince Eric, and showing the boat catch on fire, and Ariel Rescueing him a short video sequence. The screen would then lift to show a statue of Prince Eric, she sings a small reprise of Part of Your World, Triton then enters very angry at her, destroys the statue and then leaves, Ariel cries, and Ursula's minions appear and lure her towards Ursula's lair (the scene goes dark) Ursula's music is heard, and out of the darkness you see her Yellow eyes. Lights up and Ursula and Ariel exhange Dialogue and then sing "Poor Unfortunet Souls" . The screen then comes back down showing Ariel swimming to the surface. The video also cuts to her being picked up by Prince Eric, and he tells her he's going to take her out on the countryside. The Screen then lifts again and the characters sing "Kiss the Girl" inside a Weeping Willow Tree. The boat gets tipped over and the minions swim back to Ursula (the screen then comes down again, showing Ursula changing into a Human, transfixing Prince Eric, and the wedding, with all the animals trying to help out, leading into Ursula grabbing Ariel into the Water, The Screen then lifts to reveal Ursula threatening Ariel and then using King Triton's the Scepter, she then starts getting bigger and bigger, her tentactle (air blown) stretch from inside the walls down on the audience, Prince Eric in the boat (onstage) then comes and punctures her, big lightning crashes and electric shock (like in movie, except this one is LIVE) The screen comes down again, it shows the mermaids returning to their old selves again. The screen lifts and Triton transforms ariel into a human, and ariel runs offtage, Triton and Sebastain exchange a few words, and the stage opens to reveal a big ending of Prince and Ariels wedding with a big Chrous Finale....
it still needs a little fine tuning, i would really need to sit and plan it out, but this is just a general idea, as i sit here at my computer.....but it would be a nice rehab
