nope, nothing.

theres going to be some serious backlash if universal doesnt hurry up

Your getting something for free... why have a backlash? It's not like you paid for it.

It may take time depending how many of the 100,000 - 300,000 tickets were authorized by the computer (looking at multiple entries and stuff) and then shipped.

That is true, it will just be a PR nightmare, but then again, I wonder how many people from their PR team is left! They had a handfull, but some might have been cut!

Well considering that the email said it would take 4 to 6 weeks and it has been only 4 weeks you shouldn't be worried. It may take 6 weeks before you get it so if you don't get it by the middle of March then you may want to email them then and find out what is going on.

I work with their PR team when I am doing a story on universal, Universal has plenty of team members working PR.

you cant very well promise thousands of people free tickets and then not give it too them, don't you think people would be ed?

They had about 300,000 tickets to give out... it can take a while depending on those 28 families who also won the grand prize... they will arrive eventually.

Futurecastmembr, are you seriously complaining about this? They said 4-6 weeks to receive your ticket and it has only been 4 weeks. They are well inside their boundries. If this was say week 8 since receiving your confirmation, then I could understand being upset.

If you order something that's being shipped UPS and UPS says 3-5 days. If it doesn't come day 3 do you call and complain?

After posting here I saw a similar topic on another board. They said if you plan on going to Universal this month before you get the voucher, just go to guest services with picture ID. All winners are in the computer and they will give you the pass while you are here in Orlando.

It seems like they do, but the core unit only has a handful of people, I know many of the veterans on the team have left and they have some young talent there. Several of the vets are still "consultants" for them, helping out with the busy events like HHN and Mardi Gras.

They pull in interns and help from other departments a lot, but the core is a handful.

FYI....The free ticket voucher did not come in an envelope. It looks like a post card type of advertisement for Universal. I wouldn't want anyone to get it confused with junk mail or something.

OH MAN!!! I hope I didnt throw mine out. Does it have a big Universal logo on it?

OK....I have it in front of me and I will describe it to you all. It's about 5" x 7" in size. Blue in color. It reads "Get A Superhuman Welcome" on the front with the Universal Orlando resort logo right in the middle. On the reverse side the mailing address is to the right and on the left it says: "Congratulations! A Universe of thrills and excitement is waiting for you inside."
So at first glance it looks like advertising. When you open it it reads: "Enjoy two amazing theme parks as our guest with FREE 7-DAY UNLIMITED ADMISSION." Attached is your coupon with a ticket confirmation number on it.
Hopefully no one tossed it away. I read in an earlier post that perhaps Universal may have your name and ticket confirmation number in their computer system. Good luck.
