Vote: Should we Eat at Rose and Crown or Garden Grill?

Hi all
The title says it all! We've narrowed down at Epcot to eat at either of these two. Which should we choose and why? We've never been to either.

That will be an easy decision. You will have to do R&C because they stopped serving lunch at the Garden Grill in October of 2008.

I heard they were talking about bringing it back, but have not heard anything lately.

For what it's worth, a nice lunch outside at Rose & Crown sounds really nice. We've only eaten dinner there, but we enjoyed it.

Thanks yes the outdoor area looks great. We're probably going to choose this because we want to try a new country dining experience.

Mind you, we also had a great dinner at Garden Grill this past trip...but the two meals are just so vastly different. The food was good at Garden Grill, we had great service, and it's by far the best character interaction we've ever had at a character meal- but I must say I enjoyed the food and beer flight at R&C more than the offerings of Garden Grill.

Since Garden is closed for lunch.. R&C. R&C a lot better atmosphere.. But personally I think the food at Garden is better..

I haven't actually had Garden Grill yet, but Rose and Crown is on my top five. I love the food, the service, the beer, sitting outside by the water, and mostly the accents!

Rose and Crown absolutely, amazing service and very good food. We had lunch there one November day in 2011 and it was practically empty. On the infamous I have been compiling for our 10/13 trip.

Garden Grill was awful. I would go to Rose and Crown.

The bangers and mash at Rose & Crown are really good, I also had a scotch egg there and I thought I wouldn't like it but it was super tasty!

That would not be as easy a choice for us as it seems to be for some. We were at Rose and Crown a few years ago. The food was great, but the service was really slow (and the place was nowhere near full). However, we had a great time there, and if you can go later at night then you can sit outside and watch Illuminations.

We tried Garden Grill this past year and loved it. The food was great and the resaurant is smaller than most, so the characters came by about 4 times during the meal (which the kids loved). If you have kids then they would probably love it here.

I hear mixed reviews for GG but I really have to go and do it once. Just for the scenery.
But for Lunch, R & C is awesome. The first lunch on our honeymoon, and a place we always stop at for a drink on a hot day. Nice people there and nice air conditioning. Plus any dark-looking English style pub is ok with me. LOL! On my honeymoon, the employees said hi, and delivered a card with best wishes. Very classy, very sweet. A nice thing to do.

The potato leek soup was killer. My burger was killer. It might help me survive the removal of the burger from Le Cellier. LOL! And the fries were crispy and delicious and I drowned them with malt vinegar and dipped them with a dollop of mayo. If anyone hasn't tried doing that to their fries, please re-consider. LOL!

Aye,you can't beat a good helping of bland British cuisine.Only joking ( huh ) The food is above par and the outside dining is a plus.

Great accents and everytime I go all the people that work there from front of house, wait staff, and bar are awfully nice, energetic, and with an easy-going pleasantness.

Hands down, Rose and Crown!! The atmosphere, wait staff, entertainment, pub, seating outside for Illuminations... Just an all around great spot!!! And dont forget to visit Carl, the bartender!!!!
