I still think it's kinda dumb that people actually think that wdw is more of a symbol of America than the Statue of Liberty or Liberty Bell or something along those lines. I mean, seriously.

i don't really think that wdw is more of a symbol of America than the Staute of Liberty. i just think it would be awesome for disney to win. that's all. it would be nice if america was a bit more magical tho haha

A place I love to vacation? Yes. The place I would choose to go if I had only one choice? Yep! The place where I plan to bring my kids and grandkids forever and ever? Heck, yeah.

But a symbol of the country where I live? Not so much. I think I'd almost be embarrassed if WDW made it to the top spot. There's a difference between loving a place and knowing what it represents in the grand scheme of things.

I can't remember the last time I saw something patriotic with an image of Epcot on it. LOL. I can't remember the last time I saw something where when asked what they think of when they think of America, people say "Splash Mountain!"

I'm surprised things like the White House, or the Caplitol weren't included. Or even the Bald Eagle (even though that's not a "place"). I think those are much more symbolic of America than some of the choices they gave us to pick from.

I really don't think WDW should be #1, however I'm glad that we pulled it up to #2. :sohappy: It is the all-american get-away. :wave:
