Personally, I think that this is a little out there at this point. Landry's already has 2 restaurants right in a small area. I think Trex will have to prove itself before they open another one.

It looks pretty cool, but don't you think it would take away business from the Coral Reef restaurant?
No more than Raglan Rd would take away from R&C or T-rex take from RFC. Dining is so packed at WDW right now due to the DDP that Disney could build a Stuckey's and it would be booked solid 60 days out.

Funny, I read this all the time, but I've never been disappointed with any of the meals I have ate in their restaurants.
The only one that I really did not care for was Yack and Yeti...but in their defense it had only been open for a week. As far as RFC goes the only issue I have had with them food wise is consistency. What was great on one trip was so-so on the next but as a whole I have been pleased.

So...Landrey's. Again. I guess the Bold New Vision (BNV) is having mediocre food in a interesting and loud (Hi, kids) setting.

OK....

I agree, Landry's seems to operate on the premis that good dining consists of a loud, in your face themed restatuant.

Then as an afterthought they buy some pre-prepped, over salted, food from a mass supply house. To make it specail, they call it by a "crazy" name, and melt a mess of cheese over the top.

I will say however, that the Chart House, and Saltgrass Steakhouse are Landry's properties, and those are pretty good. Especaily Chart House.

But the stuff that seems to come into WDW - its more theme than it is food.

I took a look at the existing Aquarium websites and menus, and it again seems to be more about the themeing and less about the food. The website is full of what fish is in the aquarium and how you can volunteer to help out there. Then there is a run-of-the-mill offering of trout, catfish, mahi-mahi, and snapper - grilled, fried, or crusted with pecans - and served with rice, fries, or "vegetables" - whooo, exciting.

I agree with you Richard on the consistency of the food being off and on. My only compliant is the loudness. I think the sound could be turned down a bit, but it is what it is. If it really was a huge deal to me, I wouldn't eat in either place. I do, so it obviously isn't. Overall, I have been pleased everytime I have ate at one of the restaurants.

I've never ate a Yak and Yeti, so I can't comment on that.
