Visiting Atlantis

Hello, my extended family and I have an upcoming cruise in June (5 nights, Bahamas) with a stop in Nassau. We have visited Atlantis a few times in the past and are really hopeful that our nephews and niece will get to visit the pools and slides at Atlantis for a day. It appears that the excursions that allow you access to the pools are already sold out! (still 72 days until the cruise!) I looked on the Atlantis website and it looks like the chance of being able to buy a day pass during the high season is dismal. My question is does anyone know of any other way to be able to experience the water park at Atlantis? We dont need any of the guided tours or lunch etc just access to the water parks. tIA!

Try booking a room at the Comfort Suites on Paradise Island. It's located right next to Atlantis and includes the armbands for full access to the slides, aquariums, etc. when you get off the ship you grab a taxi to Comfort Suites, go to the front desk, & tell them you want to check-in & check-out. It's actually a pretty common thing to do. Don't get excited when you see the room price thinking you just scored Atlantis at a bargain. There's a bunch of fees in fine print they will assess & you will pay when you do the check-in. Once youre done at the desk they'll give you your wristbands and you can stroll on over to Atlantis. Hope that helps!

Yep, I've done what Sweetpee just suggested! It's a great way to spend the day there and (usually) save a little money.

You can also book a room at Atlantis itself if worst comes to worst! :)

We too have booked at the Comfort Suites and found that for 4 people it was cheaper that the ship excursion (even with the fees). Have a great time. Out boys, (age 3 and 7) loved it when we went.

You should go to The Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island. There you can enjoy full access to the slides, aquariums etc. You can also enjoy slide at The Mayan Temple. Its five thrilling Water Slides is one of the resorts most popular attractions.
