PLEASE NOTE: I am writing in the view as if this were/did happen, thats just how I get the creative juices flowing. It is only pure imagination. Also, I explained some obvious Disney things because this was written for a less Disney-literate website.

This is a develop of my Virtual Disney World concept I roughly made about a year ago. I've expanded it with my real Imagineering ideas I've created for the real theme parks. Now it's been applied to a virtual world space to make a grand of a game. Virtual Disney World is not WDW in 3D. It is made up of elements from the classic parks while combining shelved WDI projects. It also allows users to create their own Disney Park.

Virtual Disney World & Armchair Imagineering

These two virtual spaces combined make up one giant virtual community. Virtual Disney World plays the role of the set living world while Armchair Imagineering lets users design and create their own theme parks and attractions. The two worlds use the latest 3D software to create a massive living and breathing 3D environment downloadable from the website or users may play a lower quality version via an internet browser. The following are examples of possible things users will be able to do in the Virtual Disney World & Armchair Imagineering.

VIRTUAL DISNEY WORLD

Virtual Disney World (or VDW for short) allows users from around the world to experience theme park magic from their home while still keeping enough experience for the real thing. VDW will initially consist of three virtual theme parks: Disneyland, VCOT, and Pixar Place. We’ve teamed up with Walt Disney Imagineering to create worlds that may have once been. VCOT will be much more comparable to WESCOT then EPCOT. WESCOT was an original WDI design for a theme park where Disney’s California Adventure now resides.

VIRTUAL DISNEYLAND

The virtual Disneyland theme park will also be unique. It will contain the lands of Main Street USA, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, New Orleans Square, Frontierland, and Adventureland. The following are a brief description of each land.

Main Street U.S.A.

Here users will be able to feel like they are in old time America. This will also be where users buy most of their items, in stores such as the Emporium. Items users can buy are clothing, building items (to be used in Armchair Imagineering), food, pets, pins, and magic spells. Users will also be able to see NPC Parades that run at specific times. With initial launch, there will be two parades: a day time parade themed to Walt Disney’s classic Villains, and a night parade based after Disney’s Electrical Parade. Main Street will also be the home to classic Disney characters that users will do quests for.

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is uniquely designed to make you feel like you’re aboard a giant space station. From inside the Space Station, you’ll be able to ride the WEDWay PeopleMover from the entrance of the land all the way to the back (users may also walk if they prefer to do so). Inside Tomorrowland you’ll find the TRON Arcade filled with cool 3D TRON themed Arcade games. Based on your score, you’ll receive D-Coins (the currency in VDW) and other cool prizes. Users will be able to ride classic attractions such as Star Tours and Space Mountain. Also, in the EXPO center, you’ll find Timekeeper explaining the latest and greatest in Technology News. Users will also find cool shops and food locations with a “space” feel.

Fantasyland

Fantasyland will be the area where users can ride the most rides. Here you’ll find classic Disneyland attractions such as Matterhorn, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, and Snow White’s Scary Adventures. You’ll also be able to visit a mini Dumbo land similar to the one inside Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland Expansion. Here is where users will find three massive circus tents with classic carnival circus games. Another rideable classic is “it’s a small world” which often ties into many quest lines.

New Orleans Square

New Orleans Square is set on an island in the middle of the Rivers of America. This NOS is themed to the Disney movie Princess and the Frog. Here users will be able to go into Tiana’s Place (restaurant), Dr. Facilier’s (lounge), and even Mama Odie’s old boat in the tree in the bayou. Users will also be doing quests for all these characters all around NOS. There are many single and multiplayer based games on the bayou.

Frontierland

Frontierland is set up very similar to the real Disneyland Park, however, it also includes Splash Mountain. Users will find fun games such as the Shootin’ Gallery as well as shops such as the Frontierland Mercantile. Users will even find an NPC version of the hit show Billy Hill and the Hill Billies. Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain R.R. are both rideable rides for the virtual users.

Adventureland

Adventureland is the largest land inside of the virtual Disneyland. Here users will find 4 “mini lands”. One based after the Aladdin city of Agrabah, another based after the Indiana Jones films, one based after a South Pacific travel company, and the last one based after the Pirates of the Caribbean. Inside the land of Agrabah, users will be able to visit the shop named Cave of Wonders, or take flight on their very own Magic Carpet. Users will also be able to see the classic movie characters such as Aladdin, Jafar, and the Genie. In the Indiana Jones land, you’ll take place at an ancient lost digging site where Indy has just discovered a lost kingdom. Here is where users will be able to ride the Indiana Jones Adventure as well as a mine car coaster. You’ll also be able to do quests for Indiana Jones in the Lost Jungle surrounding the new discovery. The third land is based after a South Pacific travel company which invites you to ride the Jungle Cruise and see the wonders of the Enchanted Tiki Room. Both of these attractions will allow users to ride/see them. The last land is called Caribbean Plaza. Here is where users will be able to ride Pirates of the Caribbean as well as plunder for their own gold in different mini games.

VCOT (Virtual Community of Tomorrow)

VCOT will use a very similar layout to the original plans for WESCOT. In the center of the park, you’ll find a massive geosphere called Spacestation Earth. Inside you’ll find the classic ride from EPCOT as well as Project Tomorrow which houses unique future of gaming. Surrounding SSE users will enter three pavilions called The Wonders of Living, The Wonders of Space, and The World of Earth. All three of these lands can be compared to The Wonders of Life, The Land, and the Mission Space pavilions at EPCOT. However, these virtual pavilions will be created in a way to get users involved in those subjects. We hope that maybe if someone finds interest in the Wonders of Living Pavilion it might push them toward careers in that path. Users will also find classic attractions such as Soarin’, The Land, Journey into Your Imagination, and Mission space inside the different pavilions.

There are four more lands considered to be “the four corners of the globe”. The New World (Americas), The Old World (Europe), The World of Asia, and the World of Africa. Each land will teach users about culture inside the parts of the world as well as unique rides and shows. This is a great unique way to expand the knowledge for children. (in total, it creates the “Seven Wonders of VCOT”)

PIXAR PLACE PARK

This is a unique theme park that brings you into the worlds of Pixar Films. The park is in the shape of a horse shoe U. The “main street” will make it feel like users are really inside the Pixar Studios. On the “main street” users will find shops, Pixar Film previews, Pixar concept art and virtual models. Around the outer edge of the “main street” you’ll find lands based on the Pixar films. From right to left it will feature: Andy’s Room, Monstropolis, Radiator Springs, Ant Island, and the Big Blue World.

Andy’s Room

This land will make it feel like your avatar is the size of a toy. Inside Andy’s Room you’ll find all the toys running around and having fun. They’ve set up unique games such as the Midway Mania Playset (a game based after the attraction). You’ll also find a racer game called RC Racers in which you can purchase your own race car and compete against other users. There are different tracks for the racing game such as Sid’s Backyard and Pizza Planet. Users will also find building items themed to Toy Story which they can use in Armchair Imagineering.

Monstropolis

Monstropolis is the city where Monster’s live. Here users will find a crazy huge “door” maze game inside the Monsters Inc. Factory. Users will also be able to send in jokes for the Monsters Inc. Comedy Club. Users will also find shops and dining areas from the Monsters Inc. movie.

Radiator Springs

Radiator Springs is nearly identical to Carsland in Disney’s California Adventure; however, some attractions such as Luigi’s Tires have been turned into multiplayer games rather than rides. Users will be able to ride Radiator Springs Racers, the e-ticket attraction at Carsland in DCA. Users will also find food locations.

Ant Island

Ant Island is based after a bug’s life movie. Users will actually pass over a bridge onto an island where they will feel as small as an ant. Users will also be able to help participate in collecting the seeds & berries they need for the winter as well help them expand their colony. You’ll also find some attractions from a bug’s land in DCA.

Big Blue World
The Big Blue World land is based after Finding Nemo. To enter, you’re avatar will ride a clamobile half way around a track and exit inside of a pavilion. Here is where users will find attractions such as Turtle Talk with Crush, Mr. Ray’s Sea Exploration, and Crush’s Coaster. To get back to the “main street” users will have to ride the second half of the omnimover ride.

THE REST OF THE WORLD

The initial launch will only consist of those three theme parks as well as Armchair Imagineering. However, our future additions include a movie based theme park, a Disney water park, and the Downtown Disney District. We also hope to include mounts for users such as them driving a Disney Bus on select blocked roads (so users won’t be able to drive off into a theme park) as well as speed boats along the water way. Future hotel additions will also be looked at.

ARMCHAIR IMAGINEERING

Armchair Imagineering is a website tied into VDW. Here is where users will be able to user items purchased throughout VDW and make their own theme park or attraction. The building tools are very similar to Roller Coaster Tycoon. Users will have full functionality of changing the landscape (height, ground patterns, etc). There will also be many different track styles such as dark ride, roller coaster, flume, and boats. Many different building components will be made such as trees, walls, roofs, rocks, etc. Users will also have access to many already existing 3D models that exist elsewhere in VDW.

Once a user completes their theme park/attraction they will be able to open it up to the public. Users will be able to charge a fee for entry in which they will earn D-Coins from. Users will also be able to name and add a description for their theme park/attraction and it will be added onto a public list.

Such a great idea! Although I wish there was a little more description of the lands and such, this is a FANTASTIC jumping-off point.
