After reading through this thread i think it all comes down to personal preference we as a family have always flown to the world with virgin so can't compare it with anything. I myself am 6 foot and don't really have a problem with the 31 inch leg room, but the holiday itself we have always just done what we wanted to do. Never been to a rep meeting, never booked car hire through virgin. It's our holiday and we do it our way it just so happens that we got there with virgin.

Again personal preference, we have upgraded to prem before but last year didnt and he said he was more comfy, again I will say personal preference and views, trying to help people on here no got back and forth about seat pitch ect, i gave my opinion to try and help as we have flown with many different airlines and travel companies!
So be it...But all I'am saying is the extra 2" makes a big difference to myself..I had friends last year who flew with Monarch airlines from Manchester..There was six in their party, two who were long legged..Nightmare of a journey..31" and kids in front who had their seats back tilted the whole flight..

We've flown in the last few years with Continental, US Airways, Virgin and Aer Lingus, all of whom have 31" seat pitch, and being 6'2, can honestly say I've never had a problem. Even with the seat put back I've still got enough room with my legs right under the seat in front. Dublin, Philly and Newark are all easy to connect in, and certainly in the case of Dublin and Newark - great terminals to spend some time in, if a direct flight is close to same price then its always going to win.

For those who are going to Riverside, you've chosen wisely. Any questions, ask away. As you'll see we've been there a few times now..
