Such a ridiculous statement. Spend a few billion on mediocre investments? Meanwhile Universal gives you a couple coasters and you guys can’t get enough.

The universal bias is strong!!!
Tiana's Brokendown Adventure, Moana's Sprinkle Tinkle Fountains, and Epcot's Communicore (what the) Hall vs an entire new theme park with amazing AA's that some people thought were CGI they look so good

it's tough to compare I know, the popcorn buckets and specialty cupcakes reel us in

I'm sure I have a strong Universal bias, given the fact that I've been going to WDW since 1977, I've been an Annual Passholder more times than I can count, we own a couple of DVC contracts, plus most of my family are Gold Castaway Club members.

Keep snorting the dust, it's easier than seeing reality.

Those weren’t billion dollar investments.
Going to blow your mind a bit, Tiana isn’t the failure you guys want it to be. Read the reviews. Ride it. I did. It’s fine. It’s still by far the best flume in Orlando.

Epcot was a flop but are we going to ignore Covid?!? And yet I personally rather go to Epcot today ahead of IOA or Universal.

Too reiterate these weren’t billion $ investments.
So we are using Covid now as an excuse for the Epcot redo disaster? Amazing. Sounds like a Bob excuse to me. Can we blame it for other poor decisions too or no?

TBA is a disaster. You can slice it how you want but they took an existing operational attraction that was widely loved, dumbed it down inside, added some greenery outside, removed things to look at, and decreased its operational ability. Brilliant

I think you’d be surprised how much they spend on things but I guess that’s why they overcharge us now to make up for their poor management

I heard $1.7-1.8 billion for GE, GotG, and Tron combined. But what do I know, I'm apparently a Universal lover.

All Amazing Attractions!!!!
You call that mediocre!!??????
You just made my point. Yeah you are a universal lover!!! Nothing wrong with that but you should admit it.

Dude Fast and Furious, Kong, and Dream Worksa land are all waiting for ya at Universal. Enjoy!!!
I wouldn’t even call Tron mediocre if you want my opinion. That’s rating it to high

GotG is good. GE they screwed up. One good ride however that half operates so rate that how you want

LOL, I've been to Universal one time in my life, and that was 25 years ago. Their new park will get me back for a visit. I'm far from a Universal person, and I don't think those are amazing at all. The only one that is one I really go out of my way to get to on a visit is Guardians, and that's just because it is a super fun roller coaster.

I mean, he ain't wrong. It is not what you spend, it is how you spend.

I think you guys have forgotten what has actually been built in the last ten years by both Orlando operators… and how many are on a short list for Comcast to replace.

Diagon is over ten years old. It’s frankly a lost decade for Universal, they’ve somehow lost ground to WDW and yet supposedly the WDW investment cycle was poor.

Maybe I’m just grumpier / harsher because I’ve been waiting so long for Epic and it really just stole and deferred all of Universals momentum they had in the early 2010s. My Universal fandom peaked in 2013 and I’ve been feeling impatient ever since. Which yes, is on me.

To each their own. Starwars is my favorite attraction in Orlando.

What are your favorites?
My favorite attraction, or my favorite land in Orlando? Haunted Mansion is probably my favorite attraction. Favorite area? Probably would be one of the DAK ones (Asia or Africa). The newer lands SHOULD be my favorites, but I just don't think they are executed well. Avatar was really awesome at night, but it's so small and tough to get around when people are there. Galaxy Edge falls into a similar issue for me with it being too cramped with smaller walkways (and it's really just shopping areas in my eyes, I'm not even one going all in on the trilogy used. One really good ride that is broken and doesn't feel a part of the land to me, and one ride I can't stand, and then just shops upon shops). Toy Story Land is like walking on Venus, though I could argue it's my favorite land in terms of ride offerings at DHS.

They're gonna learn that Single IP lands are the definitive future and not understand the IPs for EU were picked for a Very Good Reason and cannot apply to every single IP out there. Looking forward to Disney trying to justify why Chicken Little needs a Galaxy Edge scale land!

Even within EU, the HTTYD land feels like a potential mistake to me.

It's not remotely on the level of the other IPs in terms of popularity, and it really doesn't look very interesting if you're not a fan of the IP.
