The area is just beautiful. I noticed (as did others) that the bird sounds are part of the background loop of the forest. Does anyone know if these sounds are the distress sounds similar to the ones at the Electric Umbrella at Epcot? Those sounds keep the real birds from approaching. It would make sense to have the same in the new forest area. Great job Disney!

It's sort of annoying that there are whiners already.

It's a beautiful land, and I'm thankful that regardless of the cuts and corners it had to take, it still ended up as beautiful as anything Disney has produced in its themepark since Animal Kingdom.

I say this, not to whine or complain at all, but more or less this is just a question.

Is the water supposed to look that color or is it that color because this is the first time the pumps have been discharged and flushed continuously? I ask because when I turn on pumps for the first time in the Summer that's the color of the water.

Once again, NOT griping. Love the area, just had a question.

I believe the water is full of the dust of all the new construction. I'm sure it will leach out over time.

Yeah, it looks like my fish tank water after a good cleaning, it will settle and be crystal clear in a few days if it's not already as long as they keep the pumps circulating.

Its the same tired people doing the same tired routine they do everyday. Just put them on ignore and you'll be happier you did.

This is a soft opening too. Not that a lot will change, but exterior lighting packages and attraction interior lighting, audio, etc. can still be tweaked, so it'll likely only improve by Dec. 6th.

From the photos and video I've seen, and from conversations with people who were there and said it's 100x better 'in real life', if people on here are going to complain about this land, then they're trying too hard imho. The theming and attention to detail in this land is as good as Disney has ever done in any park.

It also depends on whether they *want* it to be crystal clear or not.

Whenever they re-open "dark water" waterways after refurbs (Jungle Cruise, for example) they always seem to have trouble the first week or two getting the color-dyed water the right color, but then it balances out and looks good from then on. (I seem to recall the Hub waterway turning a rather red color after a refurb a few years back)

Belle's village might be my favorite part of all this. I don't even like the merchandise inside Bonjeour gifts but the gorgeous theming on these structures (love the popcorn cart) is great. I think those might be my new favorite WDW bathrooms too.
