Depends on your manual settings and softwarevideo generally doesn't come out best in dark rides so unless you just want a bunch of audio with a black screen I would skip the darker rides.

This is great advice! I tend to get very caught up in taking photos or video...it's important to enjoy your experience while you're there rather than worry about how you'll remember it when it's over.
I find I have to leave the camera behind at the hotel room some days to accomplish that.
