Youtube user asianjma123 captured this unique footage of a Fantasmic performance this past Monday... Although there was plenty of rain coming down and not many people in the audience, the whole show was presented in its entirety! The only change was the omission of the stunts in the Peter Pan segment.

I was able to see the show a few weeks ago under similar weather conditions. Fun, but very wet experience! A big kudos to the cast and CMs for putting on an awesome show despite the cold/rainy weather! :sohappy:

Yeah, I was there in October aswell and the rain was so heavy, the show started about 20 minutes early but it was all presented in the heavy rain and it was incredible and I was pleased as it was the last time I would have been able to see it before I went home.
Afterwards (because I'm THAT smart and mature) I decided to ride Dumbo and it had 0 minutes wait so the weather at least has some advantages.

I would have done the same thing probably. I LOVE going to Disney parks in the rain! People forget that so many of the experiences are indoors anyway, but the weather scares people away so the crowds are low. With the one exception of not really getting to take as many pictures (an activity I love when I go to Disney), rainy days are the best time to visit the parks IMO.

Interesting. I would have thought that some parts would be cut back for performer safety.

The parks in the rain are one of the best times to visit... But there is the whole squishy shoes issue.

I'm going to DLR for the second time in my life (I'm an east-coaster who has been to WDW 8 or 9 times in my life) this Sunday while I'm in town for a convention, and some of the weather websites are calling for rain (while others just say clouds). Maybe the threat itself will drive people away. But I hope it doesn't rain too bad, this is my chance to get away from the 40 degree weather for a week :(

Oh wow. There's just something about the score for Fantasmic! that gives me goosebumps.. and when Mickey comes out at the beginning.

Aww, I'm all teary.

I looove the crowd shots at the beginning, everyone camped out in the rain. True fans and real Disney magic!

Thankfully it's warming up at night. Be glad you weren't here last week....it was SO cold! And rain on two nights last week. Crossing fingers for no rain on Sunday!

It absolutely POURED down rain on us one night while watching Fantasmic! It was either our first or second trip (bad memory :o) and although the rain was cold and soaked us to the bone, we still managed to enjoy the show.
