Via Napoli has a Cafeteria Feel
Not very intimate, very bright lighting I almost mis took it as a food court.

All is good in there if you don't mind a cafeteria feel.

On another note, simply freezing last night 12/13 workers covered all plants EVERYWHERE including downtown Disney.

While I thought that Via Napoli was just okay, I don't agree that it feels like a cafeteria. So your comparing this to Sunshine Season Food Fair, which is a cafeteria. I think design and feel wise, Via Napoli is well above Sunshine Season Food Fair.

I dont agree that I was comparing it to Sunshine Season Food fair,(I cant even find where I mentioned Sunshine Season Food Fair in my post) but I do thank you for reading my mind. (here we go knew I shouldn't post here as the snipers are laying in the bushes..... next someone will tell me I was comparing last nights cold in Florida to Alaska......)

i dont understand the appeal of via napoli.. or most of the restaurants people on here enjoy. I've eaten coal fire pizza many times near my home for 1/3 the price of via napoli and it was 100x better

No offense, but I've had pizza in Florida once and it was a disgrace. Never again.

None taken. There are very few places in Florida that have good pizza. IMO. I am going to assume since no one can do a good NY pizza, they have gone the gourmet route topping with all kinds of different cheese and crazy toppings. Give me a thin crust cheese and sauce please!!!!

As for Via Napoli.....it is great that there is an option for good pizza in Epcot, but to me, paying that much for pizza is insane.

You are missing out.

I just got back from NYC, where we took a Pizza tour and visited 3 of NYC's finest, including the daddy of them all, Lombardis.

Guess what, Via Napoli beat them all.

Any over-hyped well known pizzeria is normally bleh. My favorite pizza is in Italy. However, I've never found American pizza outside of the NYC area (NYC area includes Long Island, Westchester, Rockland & Northern Jersey) that even comes close. Of course people have different tastes.

Try giving Via Napoli a go, I think you'll be impressed. It's true to Italy, and better than anything I have had in NY or anywhere else in the USA.

lol.... oh man, sipping on the WDW cool aid..

I love WDW but the food... eh, I'm from a major american city and if I want food I'll find it here. I go for the magic, the attractions, the theming, but at the end of the day I always walk saying:

"well, that was good but nothing beats _____ (in NYC, Boston, Washington DC)

I thought Via Napoli was up there with the best pizza I've ever had. Personally, 2 Amys Pizza in Washinton DC tops it for me, but Via Napoli was right up there near the top. It was quite pricey, but I was happy to pay it.

I didn't think that the atmosphere felt like a Cafeteria in any way. Light, open, airy, high ceilings, but in no way did I feel like I was back at the All Star Movies getting a burger.

My wife and I talked about how on a future trip, this is the kind of place where we'd love to drop off the kids and spend a long evening eating, drinking, and hanging out. The waitstaff was quite fun to talk to (loved hearing our server's thoughts on trying Dominos pizza, since he was from Rome) and we're looking forward to revisiting it on a future trip when we can have the grandparents take the kids and relax and enjoy.

I can believe that... though I have not eaten there. I suspect it's a very GOOD Pizza Place - but I'm not taking my wife out for Pizza when we're on a serious vacation :).

Is that why you eat at Whispering Canyon for breakfast every morning of your vacation Trotsky?
Because it's such a serious dining establishment??:ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL:

My biggest complaint is that they did not consider the acoustics when designing the restaurant. It is unbelievably loud in there, strikingly similar to Planet Hollywood or T-Rex as far as decibel count goes. If you are going here to have a conversation or trying to comprehend the thick Italian accents of some of the International CPs - bring some ear plugs and learn how to read lips.

Via Napoli has some nerve to call themselves an Italian Restaurant. I was there in October and to be honest with you I didn't like it at all. The appe. were ok, but my god the pizza was really gross. Sorry guys...
I am a Brooklyn Girl and I expected that wonderful type of pizza, I think Pizza Planet has better pizza for cheaper prices.
One good thing though was the hostess' there were wonderful. What can I say...it's a lot of hype and nothing more. I agree it did feel like a school cafe' to me...hehehe...

No - because it's breakfast :). And we LOVE the people there... We reserve the really GOOD places for dinner, and usually skip lunch. In fact, I'm not sure how we would react to a really huge, stunning breakfast - we would probably feel like a pair of torpedoed whales :).

I'm just messing with you my friend.
We do the same thing - Splurge for dinner!

I just had to poke you for your "Serious" comment.
Knowing how much you love Whispering Canyon.

I agree, which made the place loud where I coun't even talk to my wife across the table.

we just tried via napoli for the 1st time on the 14th and i thought it was fantastic! i didn't get a cafeteria feel at all, and very much enjoyed the ambiance with the beautiful lighting and ovens. the best pizza i've ever eaten was in naples, italy, but via napoli's was outstanding! nice thin crust with great tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and delicious pepperoni. we also really enjoyed the special juice beverages! it is expensive, but we were on the dining plan, so price didn't matter fortunately for us.

Doesn't feel like cafetaria at all, I like it but not crazy over it.
Food was standard.. Calamari was ok but their Frutti di Mare was quite a disappointment. It was somewhat bland. I got Vanilla Gelato Frizzante for dessert, it was good.

I thought Via was going to include a walk-up window for slices. Was that ever part of the plan or was I just wishing?
