Is it impossible for them to expand BB?

I feel like it needs more help than TL.

Thats what I was thinking...I do LOVE BB but walking up and down all those steps in the sun, and water is a pain. After about 2 hours I'm toast. I mean the sun and water wear you out as it is!

I think an expansion to BB would be nice, but what would be really good would be a third water park. I was there at Easter and both parks were closed by 11AM due to capacity on several days, I know this was a very busy time but I still think there's room for a third water park.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, i know its an old post but its not talking bout crush cos its already referring to it being built (found at http://www.studioscentral.com/board/index.php?showtopic=4187&mode=threaded):

- Typhoon Lagoon CMs, you should be getting the details on the new expansion adjacent to Crush where the "boneyard" is located and where the fairly new basketball court is located. The last I heard, this will become official in late August / early September. Construction should begin in November with the major work being done in the scheduled two month refurbishment.

The ride concept is one in which guests will grab a single rider float, and ride a conveyor to the top of the attraction. From there, guests will be dropped into the start pool where they will either paddle (hands and feet only) to the slide of their choice (three slide options), or they will be bounced into a slide by the continuing flow of riders behind them. Once riders go down the slide, they will be dumped into a secondary pool in which they have two slide options that they can either paddle to or be bumed into. Finally, guests will arrive at one of three final pools in which they may once again choose, or be bumped into, one of two slides. The final slide segments (of which there are three) feature themed, special componenets. One is a modified funnel drop, one is a ride through a themed structure by way of water-jets, and the other is half-pipe in which water-jets push riders up the sides of the half-pipe walls.

That's just a repost of a thread that was posted on WDWMagic two years ago:

It was posted by ReDis. I'll let other people here comment on just how reliable his information was. (Hint: he was banned from WDWMagic.) :lookaroun

LOL so hard if ReDis ends up being right. :ROFLOL:

Expanding BB wouldn't seem to be easy since all of its current slides are based off the mountain. There isn't a whole lot of space left there, so any additions would likely be separate structures. This worked at TL with CG, but TL was already set up like that. A separate structure at BB would stand out like a sore thumb IMHO.

I'm hoping this crane means an expansion, but its appearance after the technical difficulties makes me think otherwise. Maybe Disney is prepared to surprise us! (is that actually possible in today's day and age?)

Actually Disney had a third water park.

It was called River Country.

Pictures I have seen on this site and others show it to be in a horrible state.

Just come up with a new water park concept and put it into the old River Country area.

The area is only in a horrible state because it was closed like 10 years ago. I never had the pleasure of going to this amazing park, but I could of. It is very, very small and it could not compete with BB and TL. They should reopen RC though, but maybe as Ft Wilderness main swimmin' hole.

Making it exclusive to Ft Wilderness is a great idea but that area needs MAJOR help. I'm talking ripping up the floor and pools and slides and stuff. And no lake swimming!

Obviously. Everything is still there, too. You can rent a golf cart and go near it too, or at least get to the gates surrounding it and hold up a camera. It's so sad! I want to see it open again!

It could very well be for a refurb, BUT..

The wave pool had a total refurb last year, so it would seem faily unlikely they would be doing large scale work on that.

The first we knew of Crush n Gusher was pretty much when ground broke.
Heres the history of that one
http://www.wdwmagic.com/Attractions/Crush-n-Gusher/News.htm

Ground was cleared at the Crush n Gusher build, so IF they wanted to start on something now, they would be in a position to start fairly quickly.

Having said all of that, it could very well mean nothing, but large cranes are always interesting :)

I think it is for the refub.....they had to close TL a day early because of a pipe breaking and filling areas/water with mud etc. I know they were able to have the lifeguard competition there that weekend so not sure which areas had the problem.
Last years refurb did not correct all the problems either. I think there was still a leak that they dealt with all year in the wave pool. Might just be doing something like putting in concrete sewers that broke etc. Have not heard a word about any new slides etc for TL so I figure it is just refurb.
