Hey there, I don't know that this has been discussed in another thread but I am a vegan and I was wondering what there was at Disney World to eat that is vegan. I would love to know restaurants, entrees, desserts, snacks, the whole shabang. We are going next winter and I'm already trying to plan the meals because my husband and I don't want be wandering aimlessly around trying to find food. I read somewhere that chef TJ at Ohana would make a vegan feast for you if you book him? Sounds awesome. Please if you have any info on other vegan dining at Disney I would looooove to know!!! I'm desperate for more than just carrot sticks and celery snacks. :ROFLOL: :brick:

If you book any TS reservation, there is a blurb on the bottom in the fine print. Basically all TS restaurants will serve meals to accommodate "lifestyle" choices. I.E. Low carb, vegan, no sugar, etc. It may just be a salad or pasta or something similar, but they will make something for you. You can also contact their dining line (I forget the particulars, but it is in the same blurb) if you have more demanding requests and they will do their best to assist you in ensuring they are met.

The allears info is some of the better that I have found.

If you ever get the money to do it, I would recommend the chef's table at Victoria and Albert's. They cater the meal to your tastes and preferences. I bet they would offer an amazing meal to suit you. They talk to you well before you get there and then again once you are there.

I also recommend looking at the menu at Sanaa. http://www.wdwmagic.com/Dining/Sanaa/Menus/03Nov2009-Sanaa-dinner-menu.htm They seem to have some great vegan options. Boma would also be another good one, I would suspect. http://www.wdwmagic.com/Dining/Boma-Flavors-of-Africa/Menus/01Sep2007-Boma-Dinner-Menu.htm

BOMA!!!! Ok, I totally didn't even consider that place but its one of my all time favorites. This would be my first year going as a vegan so I'm glad there are many choices. Where is Sanaa?? And why haven't I heard of it or eaten there yet??! Never been to Victoria and Alberts either but I've heard amazing things. I was also wondering if the new Via Napoli would make a vegan pizza. That would be AWESOME! :sohappy:

Thanks everyone for the great info! I'm researching as we speak! Keep it comin! That allears list is amazing btw.

I also heard somewhere that you could request "vegan" on your ADR? Is that true?

Sanaa is our favourite restaurant on property and it has been gaining a great deal of popularlity in general. It's fairly new and it's located at Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge. As you can by the menu, it is Indian Ocean-inspired. The best part is you are right next to the animals on the savannah! Be sure to get the bread service. To die for!

I'm not vegan, but I am related to one! My vegan sister joined us on our 2009 trip, she looked at menus and things before we left so she had an idea of where she perfered to eat/what she could order before we left. She also brought her own snacks because most, if not all, snack cart food is not vegan friendly.

To your TS question, I would tell the CM when you book your ADRs and they will note it on your reservation. In my experiance they were very good at making sure your needs were met. They CMs checking us in all ways asked us about the vegan note, the chef would come out and talk to my sister about the menu and the different choices/alternatives they could offer.

Artist Point and Jiko where her two favorite places she is planing on trying again.

Just let V&A know well ahead of time, so that they can prepare the menu. There are many fine dining things you can do with just vegetable. This is not V&A, but it an example of what can be done and is in the similar vein of what V&A can do (of course it is not Vegan)

Anyone have any snack ideas? I heard Kaki Gori was vegan, and possibly the popcorn (this seems fishy to me because of its buttery-ness, but I can't confirm or deny). I can't really think of anything else. Is dole whip vegan????????? OMG!! If not.........:cry::cry::cry::cry:

You should also try Japan in WS. Edemame (sp?)(soybeans steamed w/salt) are great and you could get a vegetable roll with the seaweed, rice and veggies:slurp:

I'm not vegan or vegetarian... I think I would die!! ... but I have heard that any TS will do vegan plates for you, as long as you let them know. Put it in the comments if you reserve online or tell the CM if you call. And tell the host(ess) CM again when you arrive if they don't say anything about it.
