Vault Disney???

Back around the late 1990's, there was a late TV program called Vault Disney. It aired weeknights at 11pm.

Being a kid with a strict curfew, it was a VERY rare treat to once see a portion of one episode. It was a cartoon short of Donald Duck going to the moon. Needless to say, I became fascinated with that show.

It was canceled sometime around the Millennium, and I can't ever find any else on it save for the intros:

With the D23 club now in full swing, is there a possibility that it may be packaged into a DVD one can buy?

I certainly remember this. I was living in Kissimmee during this time, and I watched it all the time. I remember it had a lot of the old shows from Disney. I loved watching the old Zorro episodes!

I loved this show, as well. That went bye bye when Disney Channel decided to become the Disney version of Nickelodeon. ....

It would be nice if the Disney Channel would also rip off nick at night and have Disney at night for those of us over 12.

I also miss Dateline: Walt Disney World. Remember that?
Also, there was the Disneyland Story with Harry Anderson and Walt DIsney World:Past Present, and Future with John Lithgow.
There were always features about the theme parks. Not anymore. Makes me sad.

Yeah, I know! TV isn't what it used to be. :(

I wish they would bring this back! I remember I got in to it right before they stopped showing it. I was so disappointed. Disney needs to make a Vault Disney channel ala TVLand. I guarantee it would be a hit since it would be a breath of fresh air in all the stale tv shows we have now.

Also during Vault Disney, in between shows, they would run DTV. Disney's montage of cartoons set to one song. Many can be found on You Tube. Even the introduction to DTV is there. I miss both Vault and DTV.

I'm sad that I was too young to see any of these. I'm only 15 now but during my childhood I was oversees. I would like to see a channel or a DVD of some sort to buy these.

I was on a Classic Disney Channel kick just last night (thanks YouTube!) and was in nostalgia overload with all the classic shows I use to watch. Vault Disney was one of my all-time favorites!

They should just launch a classic cable channel a la VH-1 Classic or TVLand. It can be done. The question is...do they really want to do it. I think they are happy pushing tweenie sitcoms atm.

Vault Disney was dropped because Disney thought they could get more money from DVD sales. However only now, for example, are they releasing Zorro to DVD on November 3rd. Both seasons, B&W, with bonus features to stores. So all you Zorro fans can make a note of that.
