Hey everybody, I was inspired to ask this question after riding behind a car that had a vanity license plate here in NJ. It was a older couple and their plate, CDISNEY. One, does anybody have a vanity plate and what does it say, and, if you ever get one what would it say? My wife said she would like it to say, WDWFRND. I'm partial to MYWDW. Anybody else?? :D

I like MYWDW! Good thing we live in different states or I'd race you to the BMV. Great idea, I think I'll check out my state and see what I can come up with. I don't care too much for our state plate coming out this year and I renew soon, maybe I'll like it better when/if I can dress it up with a disney theme!

Being from NJ myself, good luck getting a Disney vanity plate. I got a list a few months back of every possible combination of Disney and/or Mickey available and nothing normal is left in this state. I read somewhere that NJ represents the most vacationers to WDW yearly.

Everything the DMV had was (to the tune of)
Diznee
Dizkne
Dizzne
Dznee
Mky Ms
Mikee Muse

etc....you get the point. They're all pretty stupid imho. I decided to start my own state so I could get a vanity plate.

I don't think "dizzne" is so awful. I thought about my favorite resort too, mabe something like FW WDW? Good luck on the State starting thing.....

So what are the rules for having these plates in the USA?

Being from the UK, I'm sure most of us over here would not have a clue about them.

Thanks!

:)

Here in PA we submit a list of 3 potential license plates we would like to have, with our 1st choice being #1. The 1st choice on our list that is available is the one we get. Providing one is available. Plus a $20 fee of course  No option to see what available ahead of time in PA. Kind of a crap shoot. Each state has different rules.

But the vanity plates people in the UK have, regardless of what letters are actually on them, usually says, "I have my head shoved up where the sun don't shine and am such a sad no-life posuer I threw two grand at a licence plate"

Mine says WDW MAGC.

It was tough to find something Disney related not taken, but at least here in Ohio you can play with it online in advance to find something.

It varies from state to state, in New York, i think its a $25 additional fee, and you can have anything you want on there as long as its:

8 Characters long (A-Z,0-9,Space and or the outline of new york)
Not profane or offensive
Isn't taken already
Doesn't conflict with an existing plate number

Many states offer special license plates with a different design than the standard one, and often those can be had with a custom message as well.
