Value Resorts For Grown Ups

Me and my husband want to stay on site next year (around May).
We are planning on staying at a value resort because we are on a budget.
Can you recommend the most adult friendly value resort.
We looked at pop century but it looks very kiddie.
what do you think is the most adult-ish value resort.
Im 23 and he's 26 and we would rather not be tripping over children the whole trip.

To me, all the value resorts are "kiddie" like, and like you, for those families on a budget.

Perhaps you may want to look into going up to a moderate resort, such as the POFQ.

I stayed at ASMovies in February with my boyfriend and our best friend. We're all in our early 20s. Honestly, anywhere in WDW, even the deluxe resorts, you're going to be tripping over little kids (I really tripped over a toddler coming out of Buzz Lightyear, but he was not anywhere near his dad who didn't seem to notice him til he fell.. not my fault.)
But the hotel was very quiet, and we really didn't encounter any problems unless we were in the food court. The food court is WAY too loud, so we would always get breakfast and bring it back to the room to eat. The buses can also get quite full if you travel at a peak time (right before park opening/right after park closing) so if you want to travel at those times, you may want to rent a car.

Everyone recommends Pop Century because it's the newest value resort. I've never stayed there, but I will be on my next trip =) They're all very "kiddie" but we stayed in a Mighty Ducks building and it really wasn't bad. I've got some photos in the WDW link in my signature. ASMovies also has the Love Bug rooms, which are farther away from the food court/pools/buses, but are quiet and nicely decorated.

My best friend and I (she's 24 and I'm 30) stayed in a preferred room at the Pop Century on our trip on October of this year and we didn't have a single issue with tripping over little kids. I would recommend staying here for adults looking to stay on property on a budget but I would consider staying in a preferred room.

While the outside can look a little "childish" with the various oversized items, the rooms are clean and doable as you are not in them long anyway. They more than meet the need for the budget conscious. Food courts can get a little crazy, but otherwise they are fine.

I had a preferred room in October which was regular season and for the room only with all the taxes included it came to approximately $124 a night ($111 before taxes). We had a room on the ground floor of one of the 70's buildings and we were steps from Classic Hall and the bus stops. Our room was really quiet and you wouldn't even know there were kids at the hotel until you stepped outside and walked towards Classic Hall/bus stops.

My husband and i stayed at Music for our honeymoon in the jazz section. It was fairly quiet. Families seemed to request he other sections, while cuoples were mostly in Jazz.

We stay at Pop Century every year and haven't really noticed problems with kids...but we do go during the off season.

I just stayed at Pop Century in August which would be considered peak time, I think. It wasn't bad at all. I stayed there with my 16 yr old daughter and her 17 yr old friend, my sister who is 41 and myself, age 36. I have stayed here many times including my honeymoon in 2006 and have not had any problems with too many kids. The only places that do get busy are the main building which has the food court and store and also where the buses pick you up. You should remember that this value resort is the only one that has their own bus line all the time. The All stars do share buses, but not all the time so they can get crowded. I would suggest Pop Century or AS Music. I have stayed there once and it wasn't bad and I also read a lot on here that it is the least busy of the All Stars when it comes to kids. Last year in March we have 4 adults and we were on a budget. We stayed at Pop due to the bus service(not sharing with other parks). We did not have any trouble out and about at the resort 'tripping' over kids. Yes the theming may look kid like but the rooms do not show that. Have a good trip!

Value resorts and WDW cater to kids, naturally, so there will be kids. we stay at POP all the time and its just DH and myself. we love it there. the bus only goes to that resort. If you want to be off by yourself, then I suggest the 90's bldg. Its a ways away from the food court and busses but you can cut across the parking lot. as for the food courts, go early. theres hardly anyone in there before 8. Or take it back to your room. anywhere you stay, you are in a magical place and should have a good time.......

There are going to be lots of kids no matter which resort you decide on. IMHO the best value that is probably more adult is Music, with Pop running a close second.

2 years ago, I took my wife and her twin sister for thier 50th birthday for a weeks stay @ WDW. We stayed at POP and not a problem (other than 2 ladies & 1 bath and getting them going in the AM, but that's another post we can deal with later.) Wife and I have stayed a POP on other trips as well as PORC, CBR and ASM. We really like POP. Going down in 2 weeks with our DD who are 25 & 21 (Spouses can't get off work.) We've got 2 rooms at the POP and looking forward to it.

We've stayed a Music and Movies and they are nice as well. We spend so little time in the room & at the resort, to us they all are great.

I have stayed at All Star Sports many times, some with our kids and mostly without our kids. I would stay there again in a budget pinch but I would rather stay at a cabin in Fort Wilderness or at the Poly. We have thought about changing this trip (in 2 days:sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:) to a different resort but waited too long to switch and found them all booked. Overall, if I couldn't go at all IF I didn't stay in a value resort....I would go and stay where I could afford. I would never make the choice to stay at home over the choice of a resort!

We (4 adults) stayed at Pop Century in March and had a lake view room (not a preferred room) and it was very quiet and a lovely outlook. We barely noticed any children around, they seem to be concentrated in the swimming pool areas.

We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for next April.
