Nothing like getting to work only to be called and told that the large freezer in the garage, which is full of food, is not working. Fortunately it was trash day, unfortunately the freezer was full of food! For some reason the GFI breaker popped on the outlet it was plugged into. Two years of living there and this is the first time that one has popped.

Oh, no - everything had thawed out already?

I wouldn't take a chance with most of that stuff. Years ago we had a hurricane where we lost our power for several hours. I threw out most of the food in the freezer but kept the frozen juices, figuring they were fine. Weeks later DH had a bad cold, and as a dutiful wife, I took out some frozen lemonade and heated it up for his sore throat. The next day he was so sick from food poisoning that he still refers to it as "The First Time My Wife Tried to Kill Me".

How many other attempts were there?

just one. Another time when he had a cold, he didn't want to take a Contac before driving to work, so I put 2 in his lunch bag so he could take one when he got there, and one later if he needed it. So instead he just took the 2 at lunch, managed to drive home, then immediately went to sleep and didn't wake up til the next morning.

Coincidentally he had raised his life insurance just before each time. :D

I'm surprised he didn't tell you all this. It's his favorite pastime when meeting new people for the first time.

There's always this get together!

My husband got violently ill one Disney trip and the last thing he had was the cup of coffee my mom made him. They both still talk about the time she tried to kill him with a cup of coffee.

The freezer in our garage has gone out several times because of that same reason. We've just learned not to keep most food out there.

Hey @JenniferS #99 (that's NUMBER 99, not hashtag ) is a grandpa!
Yup. I posted it early this morning in Chit Chat.
Not a big Paulina fan, but as y'all know, I love Wayne.
(As a kid, I had posters of Wayne side by side with my Grease posters.)

Now, of course, I have Titanic posters.

Thanks for the heads up, though. :)
