The website now says "Until further Clarification" I don't think that was there before

I just read the blog post. It says, "So far, Disneyland has said that it will end temperature screenings for guests and cast on June 15 and will no longer restrict visits to California residents, but so far the resort has noted no other operational changes." While many expect this to be the case soon, I haven't seen anything in any news reports or official announcements as to what's bolded. In fact, the website still says tickets are restricted to CA residents.

They aren't opening up the Disneyland hotel around that time just for California residents.

As I wrote, I think that it’s likely to be the case come June 15. But Disneyland hasn’t announced this change and the website still says CA-only, three days after the state amended its guidance.

Part of this is that it is confusing to say, “CA-only through 6/15”. Also, it’s a complex ticketing change for IT to handle since they’ll only require attestation until 6/14. However, they did specifically excise mention of residency in the DLH announcement so they intend for anyone to stay there.

I noticed that too. I wonder if the holdup is the supposed guidance requiring large events to check for proof of vaccination. I can see how Disney wouldn’t want to take that on- right now they could admit out of state w proof of vaccination, but they’ve elected not to. In fact, if you look at the guidance, you could see a scenario where an unvaccinated Californian could attend a large gathering now, but have to show proof of vaccination as of June 15. It’s all weird and confusing.

It’s vaccine or mask recommended. If Disney adopts the recommendation, they would choose masks over vaccines. However, given that indoors is the only place where they mandate a policy, I think the most likely policy will be to copy WDW—masks inside for all, no vaccine policy.

I think the holdup is over how to manage now-through 6/14 vs. 6/15 and later. It would be easiest to basically lock park reservations through 6/14 when they announce. As far as I can tell, they either already sold out through then or are pulling reservations since I see one day only with DCA.

I’m hoping they extend out the reservation window for at least 90 days. 60 days is a bit too short for out of towners, in my opinion. If I waited till 60 days out to book my flight, I’d be paying quite a bit more than I am now.

Disneyland has been pretty terrible in recent years when it comes to providing information in advance, be that park hours, refurbishment schedules or holiday plans, despite what other Disney parks do. I don't see this as any different.

I don't know why Disneyland doesn't think people plan visits more than 2 months out.

Maybe more people would treat it as an out of town destination if they acted like it was. 🧐

With the announcement of allowing out of state resident into the park they opened the reservation window to 120 days.
