I just returned from DisneyWorld on January 15th from my first trip, and now I have the vacation blues. Does anyone else get this when returning from Disney or vacation in general? It just stinks that you save for months for a trip then its over in a week (in my case), then back to reality. I'm already planning another trip, but to Disneyland. Secretly lol!

Yeah, its rough. We were in the parks 8 days and you have such a wonderful time there and then get home and its like - what next...The blues for me started two days later when I had to go back to work... BUT, theres always next time and for us thats February 2010. We'll go on other trips before then, but their not the same.

Been there done that, last month. Now it's like wait till next one, which if my DW has way won't be till next year, though possibly going to DL instead which will still give me my Disney fix.

I get that way every trip we take to Disney. It usually hits me the second to the last day we are there. We return and I begin to plan the next trip!

Got it Bad

I returned the 12th, and I still have the blues. The winter is terrible here, not alot to do, so its cabin fever and post vacation blues. I just keep thinking of all the things i forgot to do down there last trip!!!! Of course, I think of all the amazing memories we had from the trip as well.

Now, living about 1200 miles away makes it hard to get there freq. but we already are planning the 2010 trip in January for the Marathon. It will be my first time running down there, so with training and planning, hopefully the year will go fast!

It happens to me every time it's so depressing but it usually turns into excitment into planning for the next trip. Not this time because I don't know when I'll be back I graduate college in May so I can't book anything. I have to get a job and it's usually a year before you get any vacation time so I'm screwed!

I have already warned my husband that I will cry (out of hapiness) when I get there and then really cry when we leave! He told me not to worry bc we would be going back after our next child (who, by the way, is not even conceived yet!) turns 4!!!! Now why doesn't that make me feel better?!?!

I really enjoy vacations, but I love life more. Every day is a gift. I think that the only thing that makes vacations special is the fact that they do not last long enough. Anyway, yeah I miss Disney when I'm gone.

I agree, I get the blues when I come home from Disney. But I start thinking about all the wonderful memories from that trip to get me through the drudgery and I do start planning my next trip.

Just be grateful you were able to enjoy your entire stay. Just last week we were forced to return home half-way through our vacation because of a death in the family. Now THATS a sad Magical Express ride out of Disney World!

I'm so sorry to hear that. That is sad.

I used to always go in June when I went with my parents. Now i'm married, we've figured out a knack for it. Go in September. Here's how it works:

* Spring to Summer - get good weather
* Summer ending - go on vacation to Florida
* Return then there's the build up to Christmas

Rinse, then repeat :D It's the Circle of Life.

:ROFLOL:That is too funny! We also go in September and I always feel like I am wishing my life away wanting my next trip to get here! We were able to go twice year before last though and I still had the blues in between. Winter is the worst because I so hate cold weather! I watched my videos earlier and really got bummed out.
