Using Microwave at Resort

What are reasonable expectations for using the microwave at a resort's food court? Is there usually a line? Can people use it to microwave frozen dinners and such?

Well, we stay at Pop which is one of the busiest food courts on property and I've never noticed a line for the microwave. It's there for you to use, so if you want to pop a Lean Cuisine in there have at it! :)
Also, for future reference..this probabaly should have been addressed in the Resort forum instead of the Parks one. But, no worries.

I wouldn't use it for frozen dinners for a family of 4. Heating up one meal, or a snack of some sort is one thing. Monopolizing it for half an hour heating up meals for the whole family is another.

you should be fine. I have never seen a line waiting for the microwave. We used it once to microwave popcorn. If a line would form just finish your item and then allow others to go if you need to microwave something longer or multiple items.

Monopolizing the microwave? That's an easy fix...just be aware of others around. As @Matt in the Hatt said, I reheated fried chicken one night at port orleans, a lady was popping like six bags of popcorn. She let me throw my stuff in between her bags. I then offered to help her carry her popcorn back to her room. Her husband was so thankful he gave me a beer...just be kind, no issues. They are there for all to use!

I have never noticed a line at the microwaves. But I think a pretty easy fix was stated above - if you see a line, finish the one you are on and let the other guests microwave what they need, and then go back to microwaving when they are finished. As for microwaving frozen dinners? I typically see mom's using it for infant needs and I think one person zapping a piece of pizza. I have never paid that close attention. If it is for dietary needs, you can ask to see if they can put one in your room. There will probably be a renting fee but it would be worth an ask.
