Using DVC for Moderate/Deluxe/Cruise?

hey,
I know that you can use points to book rooms in a resort or a cruise, but I haven't been able to find any examples of point costs... I'm sure it can vary, but I'd just like to "ballpark it"...

Anyone have any info about how many points it might take for a cruise or moderate/deluxe hotel?

Thanks!

This is off topic, but thank you Master Yoda for all your info you post here. You really do help answer alot of questions and I know we all appreciate it!

Master Yoda is right. In fact, it's at the opposite end of the bang for your buck scale.
As an example, a room at Port Orleans in the cheapest season is 17 points. A studio at OKW is only 9 points, and a 1BR at OKW is 19 points. So, would you rather stay in a 314 sq. ft. room at Port Orleans, or a 942 sq. ft. one-bedroom villa at Old Key West including a full kitchen for only 2 points more per night?

also bear in mind that, unlike DVC rooms, where the point values are fixed (well, not "fixed" but there's only a little leeway on how point values can shift, and they can't raise points on some dates without reducing points on other dates), the point values to use your points on non-dvc resorts or cruises can conceivably go upandupandup...they3e not beholden to what DVC says the points are worth. Members will still (probably) get good value trading their points out of Disney entirely, staying somewhere else in the country or world in a standard time share resort.
