Use WDW toiletries or bring my own?

Hi all, I'm trying to get a handle on a bunch of things before our trip to WDW...so the question of the day is how are the toiletries at WDW, and specifically AKL? I'm trying to limit the amout of stuff I need to bring, so I'm looking for feedback on the toiletries to decide if I should bring my own soap, shampoo & conditioner...Also is there any difference in the toiletries given in the concierge rooms vs. standard rooms? Sorry for all the questions, but I really do appreciate everyone's help so far!!

I hope all the soaps and shampoos are unscented...certain smells give me a migrane. I don't have to use the stuff, only smell it on others and I get sick. Does anyone know if the soap and shampoo are scented?

Sented. The face soap was not as stong, but it was mildly sented (like dove.)

We always pack our own and bring the disney stuff home. The kids love to use it to remember their time at Disney. I have no problems with the soap.

My husband (who has sensitive skin) used both the soap and the shampoo with no problems at all.. I used the soap but used my own shampoo and conditioner.. I didn't mind the soap, It's one less thing I have to bring with me on the trip..

We use some of disneys and also bring our own. Whatevers left over from Disney I give to my mother in law as an Xmas gift.

I usually bring my own shampoo since sometimes when I use a new shampoo my hair will be like an impossible to style rats nest. Also I bring my own face soap since have sensitive skin on my face and don't want to risk a break out while on my trip. I use the soap on my body with no problems though. So if you dont have sensitive skin and have easy to care for hair the stuff they provide will be just fine.

Coronado now has the new H2O line as well and it is MUCH better than the old mickey bottle stuff

Just got back from the Polynesian. Here's a pix of the toiletries. No conditioner, sorry, we used it all.

I used my own shampoo and conditioner. My husband used the H2o stuff and said it was very drying. But, real cute. Kris

All the deluxe resorts are going to get new high end products by H20 Plus https://www.h2oplus.com

The Polynesian and GF already have them so maybe the AKL does also. The Polynesian just got them last week. They will offer shampoo, conditioner, skin cream and some sort of burn relief gel. The deluxe resorts will no longer have the Mickey soaps.

Sorry if reposted... but I stayed at the AKL in December and they did not have these products there at the time.

The soap bothers my skin sometimes and I usually bring my own supplies when it comes to everything else.
