With all the talk over the past week on the Disney threads about the parks closing not allowing non resort guests in because of overcrowded condtions. My question is does US/IOA ever do this?

I am planning on being there over Thanksgiving weekend(Thursday, Friday & Saturday) do I need to worry about this situation happening?

Yeah, I doubt they have a reason to be over capacity anyway. They don't have any ridiculous deals going on like Disney (well I'm sure they have deals, but 1/2 off? probably not)

There have been capacity closures in the past at Universal. They're not common, but they do happen. Actually, the Mardi Gras night Kelly Clarkson preformed at a few weeks ago closed Universal Studios at Capacity.

They have closed before, but not nearly as often as Disney has to deal with. Even if they don't, it can get ridiculously crazy on busy days.

thats what I herd... a few times, though I never got a confirmation... it sure did feel crowded in the park that night though.

Really? Wow.
I was there. It was crowded. There were TMs in the crowd holding signs directing people trying to leave around a long route through Hollywood/Beverly Hills because there was just no way to move anywhere near the stage.

Also, when Universal hits capacity, there aren't people sitting at their computers blogging about it like Disney. Sure, it might get a mention here and there, but Disney fans won't talk about it because they are busy talking about their parks. Universal sites may chatter it up, but when Disney shuts down, it's all over the place.

As for the original question about it getting that crowded at Thanksgiving, you shouldn't have to worry about capacity, but it will be busy. The Express Pass will be your best investment!
