Update on Splash Mountain effects

I dont think this has been posted yet.

As of last night's Grad Nite, practically all the Splash Mountain effects were working, i.e the hopping Brer Rabbit Figure and the shadow projection of Brer Fox at the top of the final lift hill.

I'm sure of a lot of people will be happy to hear about that.

It looked great at Grad Nite on Friday - the best in a very long time, I'd have to say. Even all the jumping fountains were working.

Yeah, everything was working great. I wonder if they spruced it up specifically because they wanted to make Grad Nite really special. :shrug: :)

How long had the hopping Brer Rabbit been down? It's one of favorite parts of Splash Mtn. but wasn't working back in Dec. when I was last on it.

i love the jumping fountains. cause one time this really really cranky colledge kid was on my log so he was just drenched and really upset. so finally when we got to the room with the fountains the water didnt shoot high enough and just drenched hom in the face and shirt. everyone started just laughing at him and he just got really mad but it was great expericen for me:D

hahahaha, don't you just hate cranky people at Disney? It always brings my mood down. Hey, you're in Disney, be happy!

I was there a couple weeks ago and everything was working as well... even Hopping Brer Rabbit and the Hopping Fountains! It was a nice surprise after all of the complaints about broken effects. The only thing that was wrong was one of the Trio Gators was missing in the Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah scene.

Is Br'er Porcupine back? I missed him last time.

I have a funny story about those leaping fountains - one time they weren't synched right so instead of leaping over the waterway before the boat goes by, it was arching right into the middle of the waterway - and wasn't turning off. Needless to say I got drenched. :) I have never seen that happen before, but it was quite an interesting experience.

Now that you mention it, isn't Brer Porcupine supposed to be next to that racoon playing the harmonica? I was wondering if something was missing from that scene. :shrug:

When we were there the second week of April, the hopping rabbit and shadows, but after you go around the briar patch the water cannons did not go off like they do after the boats that go down the big drop.

YAY!!:sohappy: im also a fan of the jumping fountains!! it's like my favorite room of the ride.

the seniors at my school are there. im very jealouse! i dont want them to go!.... at least with out me hahah i have to wait till aug.

I can report that the water cannons and jumping fountains were, as others have said, working back on 4/22. The wife and I got totally soaked by the cannons - the ride down was a breeze after that.
