So much wasted space. Now that TT is being refurbed, it's glaringly obvious how lame it is...and I've always been the one in my extended family who LOVED Epcot. Some ideas...A "Wall-E" themed ride that focuses on "recycling" (keeping with the educational theming). You'd be in a vehicle similar to that of the Spiderman ride at Universal. Get rid of the useless pavilions there now and use some of the ridiculous wasted space by creating a TRON ride! It could be a part of a true Innovations pavilion. Disney should partner with companies like Apple, and video game companies to allow them to actually show their latest products as well as those in production.

Oh, and in the pepsi cold zone...SELL bottles of the soda you're providing samples of!

I wish they'd re-imagine Journey Into Imagination into something that's actually worth seeing and bring Wonders of Life back from the dead. At least gut it and turn it into something else.

Like say...restoring it to its original glory!!? ;) The original was one of my and my family's absolute favorites before they changed it. We could seriously ride it over and over because there was so much going on and so much to see that every ride felt a little bit different. And now we get...the 5 senses. Woo...:( I can tolerate the version there currently but its such a pale comparison to the original.

And I would agree, Wonders of Life is prime real estate and it's just sitting there. They could do so much but its left to just sit there as a waste of space.

Something along those lines. ;) I unfortunately never got to experience the original attraction, and if I had then I was way too young to remember what it was even like, as it must have been just before they decided to gut and trash it into what it basically is now.

I really want to say that I did, but I'm not sure... I remember riding JII once on my first trip while I was four, and the next few times my folks and I visited, I kept asking Mom if it was open and she had to tell me it was closed... So I may have, but don't remember at all. The woes of vague memories and childhood forgetfulness. :( I wear my retro JII t-shirt with pride, though! It has the old Imagination logo on it, with Dreamfinder holding Figment. It's one of my favorite shirts and gives me hope that one day Disney may see the error of their ways and fix the ride into something worth seeing again!

I do remember riding Horizons before it closed (I remember the facade [Seriously, who doesn't?!] and the robot cleaning in the kitchen the most), but I don't think my family and I ever went inside WoL, as I only remember the DNA strand outside and the ads for Body Wars on the resort television. I don't think my parents liked it (it seemed outdated, even for them!), so they tried to steer me away from it so they wouldn't have to go inside.

No characters in EPCOT attractions!

Except of course his royal purpleness.

Other than that, fun ideas, except that Coca-Cola won't be too happy about Pepsi being sold in their cold zone. ;)

Agreed. I am guilty of actually enjoying Nemo at Epcot... But, to be fair, I went on the ride before I found out how amazing Epcot was originally. I do wish they'd bring Horizons back because people like me were never able to experience it. I couldn't care less about Mission Space.

So are you saying that TT was lame before the refurb, or is it glaringly obvious that its going to be lame after the refurb? Sorry for the question, but its not quite glaringly obvious.

Agreed, let the themes of epcot be the main attraction and not some synergy with the latest movie. Before they do anything else, they need to reopen WOL.

I know how people hate spelling but TT had me stumped.

Tower of Terror that be ToT and that is in Hollywood Studios.
So I had to picture a map first letter only and all of the sudden got Test Track.

My question is what is "his royal purpleness"?

TT wasn't lame before the refurb. However, when my family and I were there on the 2nd of July, we finished with the park by 5pm! My 2 children (8 and 5) have no interest in watching grass grow (The Land) or watching a film about China!

Also, Fire prevention (Innovations) isn't an Innovation, it's an elementary school lesson.

There are two pavillions sitting there empty most of the time, along with acres of man-made water and lawns...give the customers something to do!

I've come to terms that the good old EPCOT Center will never be back, so why not just Pixar-izate the place, and make it an adventure park as well. Tear down all 80's FW buildings except for SSE too.

So, EPCOT needs more rides? Test Track is "lame" but Wall-E, the worlds worst movie, isn't?

I would love to see EPCOT become what EpCOT was originally imagineered to be. Keep the World Showcase. But god get rid of 95 % of Future World Soarin included and redesign it as Walt's vision.

You could say that Disney is already a partner with Apple, as Steve Jobs sat on the board...and was CEO of Pixar...and instrumental in fostering all of these Pixar movies that are infiltrating the park. :)
