Star Wars Episode 9 (Teaser Trailer) : March 2019

While I personally don't mind this, just from reading online comments it appears the SW burnout is still riding high. Disney may want to consider pushing the teaser back to around Memorial Day or even after, and give a couple more months for hype to rebuild. Just my two-cents.

There is no SW this Christmas so we actually get a decent gap before the next movie, the only burnout is from the whiny so called fans who didn't get what they expected in VIII so decided to take it out on anything else that was SW related that came after (Tho at least Iger admitted he made a mistake with SOLO and should have released it Dec time) The Trailer will be the beginning of they hype train for me, I will also be at the midnight showing for IX like i have for all the numbered SW movies

I firmly believe star wars burnout/fatigue is nonsense. You only have to look next door at marvel. 20+ movies in 10yrs and the endgame trailer broke records. Yes Solo didn't perform to expectations but that had a lot to do with Disneys nonsensical marketing effort. Sure there was some backlash from ep8 but in no way was it fatigue. If 9 can do what they say, it could very well beat ep7. I think that the teaser should come this year. Get the hype started early, the first trailer coming out 6 to 8 months before the film would be a mistake.

SOLO's poor performance can be fully laid at Igers feet for getting it released so soon after 8 and not waiting until Dec, he admitted he messed up and should have waited. The teaser for EP IX will prob beat Endgame for views, esp as this is yet again the final film of a trilogy and the end to the Skywalker saga.
