I keep going back and forth on thinking that this is the most entertaining thread ever, and thinking that we are all fools for getting triggered by an obvious troll who came, posted, and left, never to be seen again.

Clearly, that story was fiction, an exercise in (bad) creative writing, and yet....here we are.

Speaking of magical moments are you braced for your fabulous Friday coming up?
Sorry to derail this fascinating thread, but, it seemed like it wouldn't really hurt anything.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Yes, I am totally freaking out about it. I usually look forward to Fridays, but now, I'm like errr---ahhhh----noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

As to derailing the thread, I think you're fine - people have been giving this troll attention for years, even though she made one single post and disappeared. Almost a thousand posts later, here we are.

Don't panic... after it is over you will be asking yourself why you had so much upset. If you're clear you're good for another 5 or more years and if not, well you caught something early and gave you a chance to use your "drinking" glass for many more years to come. Best of luck and....

Derailing the derail: it’s only my grand opening Friday. No need to be nervous, you’ll have a great time! 🤪

When writing this post did you think about the fact that the cast members are people. You are correct, they did not do what you wanted, but they did not do what you wanted because they were doing their job. The park being “unmagical” because of construction and the moat, you have to think that to keep everything looking magical on other days they will need to do things like this at times. Truthfully the eating thing is good for them. Imagine if you were someone who had bought food and went to sit but their was no seating and that you saw people sitting that weren’t even eating. It would be very upsetting. Disney is trying to make changes for the better, writing rude remarks and saying your never going back does not help them to improve. Also Disney does not need to accommodate to you just because you have four kids. Their are many families bigger and smaller. The goal of any company is to accommodate to as many people as possible at the same time.

"Sam did nothing. Sam did not apologize. Sam did not let me sit down. Sam did not give us vouchers for free dessert. Sam did nothing but stand in front of the door and treat us like second-class citizens. How un-magical."

Beware, beware, the 6th of March!

If only Katiebug knew how long we have carried this on.
What if she was a master troll and did a hit-n-run - still among us, laughing?

We can only hope.

There's one thing that stands out. It would have cost NOTHING for the cast member to be empathetic and maybe hand the kid a sticker. Walk them toward an attraction. Tell them where Cinderella could be found, even if it was in the afternoon parade, maybe suggest a good spot to watch the parade. What Disney should provide is magic. As I said, it's free.

This person is never coming back, so she'll never see this sadly.

Actually the thing that stands out is the whole thing is either a huge fabrication or one to the most ignorant entitled person on the planet. There was no CM and even if there was they were told where Cindy could be found, they just didn't like the answer. Moot point though because even if it happened, which I doubt, the expectations where so far out of the expectation range the it just became a joke!

Any chance it might have just been sarcastic?

I thought of that, but, it honestly didn't really sound like sarcasm to me. It was saying... Yea, some of it is crazy, but, really the CM's should have done more and what was suggested as alternative behavior is not in anyway over the top, so, if it was sarcasm it wasn't really good sarcasm and if it wasn't, then it was a whole lot of naive thought. Either way it was from a zombie thread and of little consequence at this point.
