I have the program Peerguardian on my computer and I love it. I've had it for a while now and I looked in it to see who was trying to look at my computer and Universal Studios was trying many times. This isn't the first time either. The RIAA tried to look more than once too. Adelphia tried twice.

Now I ask you, am I goin to the "slammer"?

Is Peerguardian okay as my only defence?

Why me?

I'm too pastey white to go to jail.

Does this program block organizations that wish to spy on your computer activity? Or does it merely "report" to you that such an organization established connection with the expressed purpose of "spying" on your activity and cannot "rectify" the situation?

Peerguardian blocks IP addresses. It has an extensive list of IP addresses that you don't want looking at your computer. It also tells you who tried to get in.

stop downloading illegal files and then you won't need peerguardian ;)

Yeah, but that's too easy. I don't usually download files. I buy cd's for most bands. If there is a b-side I want I'll download it. In other words, if the song isn't available to buy I'll download it.

Actually, even if you don't download anything, you still get spied on. There are so many marketing companies that are hired by retailers and such to see where everyone is going on line so they can advertise, etc. etc... My hubby (who is in the comp. business) cleans ours up at least once a week. You'd be surprised at how much gets by even the blocking programs. You might want to clean yours up often too. Hope this helps some of you! :)

Be careful, nothing is more dangerous then a false sense of security. More importantly NOTHING will stop the FBI or other groups if they want to see what's on your computer and thanks to the homeland security act(Gestapo bill) they can "spy" on you all they want in the name of terrorism protection, they don't even need a warrant anymore. My advice is listen to MKT and be a good little boy,its hard to prosecute you if you've done nothing wrong.
