Universal Has Started Charging $2 for Some Ride Lockers

Well yeah that concrete does look pretty bad, just as it does throughout the entire resort.

That signage was not present or prominent at every locker location. And it's only in English. I see a heck of a lot of foreign tourists paying for lockers that didn't need to be.

Just normal settling cracks, happens to any poured stone. As to the sign only being in English, I don't feel even a slight bit sorry for someone who can't be bothered to learn the language of the country they're visiting.

Well the thing is, nearly every walkway at Universal is cracked, or faded and stained with grime, or very cracked and poorly patched up. It's extensive, and people think I'm nitpicking but it's the single biggest problem their parks have that make them look more run down than WDW and SeaWorld. The ground is always in your field of vision and if it looks trashed, neglected, and ugly, then it brings down everything else around it.

Look, I just want to feel like I'm somewhere special if the place I'm in is charging premium prices, the highest in the industry except on Disney's busiest days. Disney might be bad at maintaining their ride show effects, but their parks still look polished and fresh. SeaWorld looks like a mythical garden paradise. UOR looks... functional.

It's also not fair to say "learn English" when these parks aggressively promote and market to Latin and South American countries and give them discounts to come here. On any given day in Orlando parks, they make up probably 1/3rd of all the guests.

That's not true at all, some of the walkways have cracks but it's insignificant. It's unreasonable to expect anyone to rip and replace concrete every time it settles.

I enjoy all of the parks, but don't kid yourself. Disney's parks don't look as polished or fresh as you may feel that they do.

It's perfectly fair, just as it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect anyone from the US visiting Latin or South American countries to learn the basics of their local languages. You don't need to be an expert linguist, but know the basics.

While you ride small lockers are and have always been free to use for the duration of the ride and wait. The larger lockers do have a charge and I don't know how long the rental is valid for as I have never had to use one. Everything I have ever had with me that I could not bring on the ride fit in the small locker. If you have several people they can get lockers for excess articles as well.

No free lockers at the water rides? Ugh...
