Universal First Timers - Where to start

The Epcot Manifesto
Hey, I wanted to jump into this thread a little with a question related to Uni first timers. I've not been to any UNI park since the mid-90s (back when there was only 1 park).
We're heading there in November of this year, so it should be a slow time. I was planning only 1 day for IoA, as we have younguns (5 and 2) and I thought we'd get more of what they'd like in IoA.
The question would be, it'd cost us about $100 total to upgrade to the two-park ticket. In your opinion, would we be able to get enough done in both parks to make this a viable option, or is it too far apart/too much to do in a single 9am-7pm day?

I think you'll be fine, but slightly rushed. Definitely make use of Single Rider/Child Swap lines. You might miss out on a few things, but I still think that you'll be good. Especially since it will be in November, since its mostly slow until around Thanksgiving. But I take you aren't going during Thanksgiving since the parks close at 7 PM on that day(?)

No, we'll be there a few weeks before Thanksgiving. I'd had suggestions that I'm able to purchase the "park hopper" upgrade to my base ticket once I'm in the park, so I think I'm going to stick to buying just a 1-park-1-day ticket and if we feel like we've done all we can at IoA and there is enough time to get the extra cost worth, we'll upgrade our tickets and go over. Likely though, we'll end up just staying at IoA, and next trip plan to have 2 days at UNI.
