Perhaps outdoor eating for the construction workers due to COVID.Seriously, it looks like a "Smoker's Section" for trailer offices.

They had me at "epic gazebo."
That was... Well... Creative!ED: You see a well groomed garden. In the middle,
on a small hill, you see a gazebo.
ERIC: A gazebo? What color is it?
ED: [pause] It's white, Eric.
ERIC: How far away is it?
ED: About 50 yards.
ERIC: How big is it?
ED: [pause] It's about 30 ft across, 15 ft high, with a
pointed top.
ERIC: I use my sword to detect good on it.
ED: It's not good, Eric. It's a gazebo.
ERIC: [pause] I call out to it.
ED: It won't answer. It's a gazebo.
ERIC: [pause] I sheathe my sword and draw my bow
and arrows. Does it respond in any way?
ED: No, Eric, it's a gazebo!
ERIC: I shoot it with my bow. [roll to hit] What hap-
pened?
ED: There is now a gazebo with an arrow sticking out
of it.
ERIC: [pause] Wasn't it wounded?
ED: OF COURSE NOT, ERIC! IT'S A GAZEBO!
ERIC: [whimper] But that was a +3 arrow!
ED: It's a gazebo, Eric, a GAZEBO! If you really want to
try to destroy it, you could try to chop it with an axe, I
suppose, or you could try to burn it, but I don't know
why anybody would even try. It's a @#$%!! gazebo!
ERIC: [long pause. He has no axe or fire spells.] I run
away.
ED: [thoroughly frustrated] It's too late. You've awak-
ened the gazebo. It catches you and eats you.
ERIC: [reaching for his dice] Maybe I'll roll up a fire-
using mage so I can avenge my Paladin.
It's a RP story from decades ago. That was... Well... Creative!
They're prepping the site now. Even the most connected insider wouldn't know when exactly that would be complete to start going vertical, unless they were the general contractor themselves. Note that Universal isn't even giving a target date for completion anymore.Joking aside - does anyone know when they will commence real time construction?
Yes, they raised the entire site 10 feet vertically - troll

The site was not uniformly raised that much. Some low areas may have been filled in that much, but not everywhere. The site work done to date has largely been to make the site suitable for development. The next phase of site work would be more nuanced for the specifics of the parks, hotels, etc. and would involve more grading and adjusting of the site to provide storm water management and even some interest in the design.Did they really have to fill that much? Is this always done so its easier for infrastructure etc?
Basically with the uncertainty of this new wave, i don't think we are going to see any real construction till next year at the very earliest - if even then.
My feeling is that they will most likely cancel the project - and shoehorn some of the IP's into the exisiting parks.
Before the pandemic they simply moved too slow.

lol they were literally weeks away from starting vertical construction before the pandemic delayed everything
There is no way in hell it will be cancelled. Comcast wants this to be their premiere park. And they have the cash to do it.Basically with the uncertainty of this new wave, i don't think we are going to see any real construction till next year at the very earliest - if even then.

F&F is a spent franchise. Any others have 9 in the series? Not what makes money today but movie sales are not what builds theme parks. This is budgeted and will move forward no matter how much you trollEvery company is going through a hard transition at the moment. Comcast (Universal) released Fast Furious a few months ago - a sure fire money maker, one of their biggest IP's. It's box office has been poor, made less than 600-700 million worldwide compared to the last Fast and Furious movie.
Star Wars? I’m Not trolling and the other guy wholly annoying, I’m just saying .F&F is a spent franchise. Any others have 9 in the series? Not what makes money today but movie sales are not what builds theme parks. This is budgeted and will move forward no matter how much you troll
