I really wish they would slide back park hours. Instead of 9 to 7, where early entry might be at 8, make it 11 to 9, with early entry at 10. In the case of Epic, you could open/close in phases, with CP staying open an hour later than the rest of the park. Start the night time show at 9 PM and close the portals at that time. Then close CP at 10.

I’m reaaaally hoping that (1) Universal actually keeps Epic open late enough and (2) the vantage points in CP will actually let us see the ride at night.

I also don’t think the flying dragon will outlive opening week — it strikes me as another DHS X-Wing.
The X-Wing drones were never intended to be anything other than short-lived promotion pieces. These are not

Prob doesn't help that USF isn't doing CineSational on non HHN Nights......
Next year there will be a HHN show at USF using the CineSational infrastructure. It wasn't in the budget for this year.

There is a reason Epic is opening "early".

That said, I expect the "lands" to be open to 10pm and Celestial Park to be open to around 11 or so most nights for the Summer.

I did some Rate checks for a rough estimate for booking windows at Universal Helios Grand Hotel. Note these prices, the lowest I found start at for both 2025 and 2026.

Booked for Thanksgiving 2025 at Helios. The prices were shockingly low - Disney would have priced it double, and it would still be selling fast. HTTYD suites are gone for that week, and park view categories are selling out pretty quickly.

The ticket packages are a pain. I'm hoping single-day Epic tickets become available next year. For now, I just have the package they recommended (3 park, 4-day park hoppers + 1 day of Epic). Depending on what new options become available, I will likely cancel that and get 2, 2-day park hoppers + 1 day of Epic. That would give us 2 days of Epic and 4 days of park hoppers.

Anyone figure out the acreage of the park and its 5 lands?
Universal's Epic Universe theme park in Orlando, Florida is 750 acres and has five themed lands:
  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – The Ministry of Magic
  • Super Nintendo World
  • How to Train Your Dragon – The Isle of Berk
  • Celestial Park
  • Dark Universe:
Epic Universe is Universal Orlando's largest theme park and is expected to open on May 22, 2025. The park will also include three hotels, shops, and food and beverage options.

The original plan for the Epic Universe development was 700 acres, but it was expanded to over 2,000 acres. The extra acres could be used for a Universal CityWalk-style entertainment complex or to house more hotels.

I was looking at the prices in the morning and I was surprised too, when I went to book now the prices for August seemed to have doubled...

They're opening that hotel months before the park opens? Why would anyone stay there when it's separate from every other Universal offering?

work out kinks at this hotel, plus it will have access to the other Uni locations/Resort. Why not open it if it's ready? *shrugs*.🤷‍♂️

I meant from a consumer perspective -- I'm not sure why someone would stay here over any of the existing Universal resorts before EU opens, unless it's much cheaper. All of the other Universal properties are near the parks and CityWalk; this one is 5 miles away.
