The park is over budget, so it’s not really budget cuts as people think of them.
I can think of an entity that believes a 10% decrease to a 200% increase is a budget cut... 😁

Safe to say that John Hammond's line from 'Jurassic Park' may very well apply here - "Spared no expense". But we'll be damned if it doesn't show.

their movements seem a lot more natural than disney's animation recently and the sculpts, especially dracula, are extremely realistic

I appreciate how dracula's jaw quivers some as he's yelling and it isn't just static. The staging/positioning of the figures' is a lot more dynamic too. You can tell a lot of the story just looking at how they are arranged.

Except for Dracula (part of the time), the monsters move like.... monsters. When a monster shambles or flails, what does that look like such that it looks realistic to all the shambling, flailing monsters we see in real life?

Real AA artistry is getting humans to move like humans. Because we can instantly spot when an AA isn't moving like a human because of our real-world experience of humans.

Flailing and shambling is easy.

each of these monsters is humanoid and even frankenstein's monster isn't moving in a shaky stumbling manner

i agree though that disney lately is focusing on arms waving around while the figure stands upright

wolfman is crouched ready to jump, dracula is arched screaming, frankenstein is actually walking and shielding his face from what i assume will be a torch or fire, the creature is reaching up from the depths (although he is the most flaily). the starting positions are more dynamic

These are amazing. While I hesitate to say they exceed the navi shaman, when it comes to the more human characters, this blows them away--especially with the range of motion. Very excited for this

The AAs are very well done. I believe Animax or Roush was the vendor. Anyone know? UC did a great job with the animation.

It will be interesting to see how the figures compare to the Walt Disney animatronic which will have features and innovations that WDI has never achieved before and promises to be their most lifelike human figure ever.

Certainly looks to be Universals best, but I don't think any of these top Disney's best, at least on video. Need to see in person. Great to see 14 AA's in the ride - well done!
Agreed. They are well done but that amount of movement on the Shaman is still untouched IMO.
I'll add that Kong (due to it's shear size) and the raptors in the Velocicoaster queue are some of Unis best.
