Seems the next announcement arrives on Thursday:
I’m betting on Dark Universe. I think they’ll save Potter for last.

The tickets will definitely be valid for what they are being advertised as, two or three park tickets at the current parks. As you said the unknown is Epic Universe, but that doesn’t stop the current tickets being valid for the current parks. There’s some decent(ish) ticket deals in the Uk now, but pointless buying Universal tickets if you don’t know if they’ll be valid.

My guess is that one visit to Epic will be added to UK multi-day tickets already purchased.
That’s why I’m holding off for them to release actual Epic Universe tickets.Yeah this is my concern. I can see myself spending 3 or 4 days in the new park

Shame they’re not going with the classic versions. My husband and I are thrilled with this, too. His birthday was last month and he requested this as his gift, so he could fully "prepare" for Dark Universe!

I have to imagine getting likeness rights for the late actors is an absolute pain. Regardless, I’m sure they will be the same characters, just a slightly updated/more intense look.Shame they’re not going with the classic versions.
I'm not too hung up on this. A mummy is a mummy. Frankenstein's monster didn't deviate much from the Karloff version. Dracula looks the most updated from the original Lugosi likeness but it's fine. I think the only design I'll get religious about is the Creature from the Black Lagoon, but there's no actor likeness involved in that look.Shame they’re not going with the classic versions.
Some of the preview center merch has Gillman’s silhouette on it among the other monsters, really just looks like a slightly buffed up version of the original design.I'm not too hung up on this. I understand your dismay, although I don't think the new versions (other than Dracula, who got the most dramatic update) are too dissimilar. I think Universal is just trying to strike a balance between the classic look, and a look that will seem scary or thrilling to a contemporary viewer. Even a rabid fan like myself can admit that, given the limitations in makeup effects for the earlier films (as groundbreaking as they were at the time), a faithful recreation of some of the characters might come off as almost comical to modern eyes. I think each of the updated versions is a little scarier and more believable than the original, yet instantly recognizable.Shame they’re not going with the classic versions.
And then Helios opens for booking? So with Dark Universe having its reveal this week, we should expect Wizarding World's reveal next month.
I really do hope they get working on a Creature from the Black Lagoon dark ride.
Having an indoor boat ride (like Navi), but with a ride system the can move the boat similar to Spidey/Transformers could make for an incredible attraction.
Lots of fog on the water...jump scares... I don't need a drop like a flume...just give me a good, thrilling (thematically), CftBL ride!
Isn’t that basically Shanghai Pirates of the Caribbean?Having an indoor boat ride (like Navi), but with a ride system the can move the boat similar to Spidey/Transformers could make for an incredible attraction.
Shanghai Pirates can alter the direction the boat is facing, but if it has an actual motion base like Spider-Man, that's news to me (obviously I've never been to Shanghai.)Isn’t that basically Shanghai Pirates of the Caribbean?

I think about the time Na'vi was being planned/built they patented a boat system that can turn the boat and hold it for a bit, the talk was it was going to be used there but looks like it was Shanghai that got it. Seems like it would be useful in almost any new water/story ride so I expect it to show up in a few places.Shanghai Pirates can alter the direction the boat is facing, but if it has an actual motion base like Spider-Man, that's news to me (obviously I've never been to Shanghai.)
