Does this feel very “2024” to anyone else? Park is progressing fast.

I was under the impression that "Summer 2025" was a worst case scenario type of date. I believe that they said by Summer 2025 and I wouldn't be surprised Fall or Winter 2024.

That would be amazing! I do think once everything is built there’s a bunch of work to do inside plus a lot of testing to do too. But man, 2024 sounds good, even if it’s November or December!

It is easy to see changes when steel is being erected. It tells you nothing about the project schedule.

Universal generally under hypes and over delivers so late 2024 wouldn't surprise me

This would require Universal to reduce their pre-pandemic schedule in the post-pandemic environment.

You should all know by now im somewhat of an optimist but I urge you all to temper your expectations of a mid summer finish or anything rosey like that. Supply chain and whatever else is impacting timelines and they need every single week they can get to get it finished. The fact theyve done so well in the past six months is impressive
Y'all need to remember that this isn't a Potter Land with just one major ride, it's at least 8 major rides that all have to be built and debugged, and not until the buildings and a lot of other infrastructure is complete can that all be done. So, it's not one engineering team that's needed, but at least a dozen if they want to do everything at once. And besides a supply chain issue, there's also a labor shortage. Do you think there are a dozen fully staffed engineering teams waiting in the wings? It seems to me that engineering will be spread thin and a lot of stuff will sit there waiting for an engineering team to finish one project before moving on to the next.

I’m sure they wouldn’t be saying “summer 2025” if they weren’t confident they can meet that date. Any earlier is a question of need. Do they need or want it before then? If they don’t, they will likely time this out to finish on schedule. I am under the impression that there will be 2023 and 2024 projects in the existing parks (especially USF). Why would they also want a new park in 2024?

Whether the want is there or not from management, I'm saying it's very very unlikely to be opening in 2024

I agree. I just don’t see why they’d even try. They clearly have some changes coming to USF and should just focus on those for the next couple years.

This is the part of construction that always appears to be moving fast.
Anything is going to look like it's moving fast when you have 15 cranes in the air.

I think having it look like this and opening a brand new park with a hotel in 3 years is already impressive.
