#EpicUniverse update from Alicia coming soon but here's some things to spot: Perimeter Berm for HTTYD being constructed, foundations for a BOH building. SNW/DK land being marked. Monsters mini berm started, the show pond being started. Exciting progress!!

Started this thread on April 2nd with a Sat view. we should start seeing some exciting stuff happening on site at #EpicUniverse sooner than you might think, but here's another Sentinel image for future posterity from 4th December 2021

giant MOUNTAIN of a berm on the eastern edge of HTTYD land, looks like they are starting to cut out a lagoon for it too. Coaster footers would be nice soon.

I'm not the one to say that there's no construction for EU going on, but... the chiller plant's location looks more like it's for the new centralized Back of House buildings than for anything in the theme park. The BoH construction has always been way ahead than the park construction.
One of the benefits of a central plant is that it is remote so it and all of its noise can be away from the public.

I have a strange feeling Disney will intentionally delay Epcot's hub as a cheap way to compete with Epic Universe.

Why go to Epic Universe when you can visit a reimagined Epcot with MORE TURF?!?
Will Epcot stop charging admission until then? Epic Universe isn't.

So the same as EPCOT?
Obviously I was making a joke.
There’s no way Epic Universe could be finished before EPCOT? Right???????
If WDW is doing just the "Festival Area," then EPCOT will finish first.

If WDW resurrects the Toadstool 3-Layer Festival Building, then EU will finish first.

Please no toadstool.
In my opinion, it’s not coming back because:
1. They stopped it and thats a pure cost saving.
2. They can still do hard ticket special view areas like they always did without the toadstool.

In my opinion, the hard ticket after hours events are the new cash cows and can be done at all four parks and in EPCOT, simply close early and show Harmonious during the after hours event.

I think in the long run folks who come during the day will have paid for the “day ticket” and there will be a sort of a “night ticket” for all the frequent and regularly offered after hours events.

Well... they scrapped their second choice simpler Festival Building for a "Festival Area" precisely so they can keep Toadstool in the mix... if they want to.

But scuttlebutt was that it was an Iger project, so...

And now I hear that Iger is coming back in 2022??
If true, toadstool may be coming back and walls will remain for a long time!!
