Anyone know what characters are currently appearing at Universal Studios? The ones that are out on a regular basis....

- Doc Brown
- Woody & Winnie Woodpecker
- Spongebob Squarepants
- Scooby-Doo
- gy
- Betty Boop
- Curious George
- The Man in the Yellow Hat
- Lucille Ball
- Marilyn Monroe
- Alex the Lion
- The Penguins from Madagascar
- Shrek
- Princess Fiona
- MIB agents
- Popeye
- Olive Oyl
- Bullwinkle
- Mummy walk-arounds

Those are all I can think of that I'd see around regularly... of course, there's the show performers that do meet & greets (Beetlejuice & cast, Blues Brothers, etc.) and "seasonal" characters too (Ricky Ricardo, the full Scooby-Doo gang, etc.).

I've also seen Cat in the Hat and the Grinch out on busier days.

I'm pretty sure the Beatlejuice cast comes out for a meet'n'greet usually after the first show.

Outside of the Shrek ride they also have a talking Donkey. He is very funny and my youngest always gets a kick out of him.

Doc Brown seems to be wheeling around on his time travelling bicycle contraption most days - we encountered him near Mel's. The actor was quite good!

(On a side note - I'm personally glad they're keeping BTTF's presence in the parks, with the display [train/Delorean], merchandise, music, and Doc Brown himself - much better than when they scrapped Hitchcock and Kong... you don't see a mention of them anywhere!)

I was actually at Universal today. Doc Brown was out at about noon-ish.

& I have been watching the Beetlejuice show for like the past month and a half. Usually 2 or 3 consecutive shows a day like once or twice a week (I am addicted). They were at 5 shows a day but last week they went down to 3 shows a day, and after the 12:30 show was the first time I ever saw the cast come out. I heard they usually come out during the off season, which would be now

We go at Christmas and will be looking out for Doc!

I went on the 12th, and neither the Delorean nor Doc were present, but the train certainly was. (Which led to my theory that he left a note somewhere saying, "Gone to 1590 A.D. to heckle Shakespeare. Be back yesterday. ELB" :lookaroun )

Good to hear they are still using Doc Brown. I never understood why Universal didn't use more of the properties that they own instead of doing the third party deals.

We just got back from our HHN trip, and we stayed at Portofino.

Homer was walking around taking pics with people late Friday night.

First time I've ever seen a character at one of the resorts.
